Hello, I consider myself a warm, compassionate person with a gift of patience. I empathize with many because I know what it feels like to need someone one to lend a hand and how difficult it may be to ask for that help when needed. At age 15, I cared for my dying mother and father, and decided to dedicate my life to be of service to others who could no longer care for themselves. I can honestly say that care giving brings out the best in me. When I see a need, whether it be physical, mental or spiritual one, I am challenged to work with the families to help fulfill that need. Everyone deserves that kind of experience in life and I believe everyone needs somebody. I am very proud to be a caregiver for the last 35 years and the families I have met have enriched my life and have helped me grow as a person. I was socialized as a child in Africa to be close and care for the aged in my family and my college background in Social Work and Psychology has fully equipped me for the job ahead. I enjoy providing care for my father who is ill, assisting him with his medication and doctors appointments. I am a very down to earth person who loves being a caregiver. I got into this field because i've always wanted to help people since I was a young child, but it wasnt until I assisted with the care of my great-grandmother who had Alzheimer's that I really knew this is what I wanted to do! I am fully knowledge able and provided capable physically to provide the basic medical and social needs of patient loved ones who requires care patient basis attentiveness. I have been involved in the care of person requiring due to early onset of Parkinson's and MS I took care of her basic every day needs her Medication and blood sugar bathing and food shopping and I took care of her Dr appoinments and blood pressure on a daily basis.
