Some people ask me, "why are you a caregiver?" I smile and simply respond, "I care to care."
Caring for others has not only created an occupation for me, but also a way of life.
Waking up in the morning and knowing that I am on my way to make someone feel better, either by assisting with daily living activities, by listening, or by telling jokes that make a client smile, makes me feel a great sense of accomplishment and joy.
I have been a caregiver for over six years and have never had a dull day since I began. Each day provides me with an opportunity to make a positive impact on someone, and I cannot think of anything more rewarding.
I am an empathetic, forthright, punctual, honest, and patient individual who maintains professionalism at all times. I believe that these fundamental characteristics put me on level ground with the clients I have cared for throughout the years, and with their families and loved ones.
Since childhood I have wanted to make a difference in people's lives, and being a caregiver I can make an impact that goes above and beyond that goal. I have seven years of experience in the field of nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and a Certified Medication Technician (CMT). I have demonstrated the ability to meet and exceed goals, and I have a proven history of valuable skills.
I also have extensive ability to resolve key issues, communicate pivotal concepts, and develop innovative ideas. I always love helping other people and I enjoy impacting clients' lives in a positive way. I appreciate the opportunity to get to know my clients and their families, and to become an integral part of their lives while providing excellent care and support. I am proud of going back to college to further my studies in nursing. I have the ability to take initiative and prioritize my workload, and am very punctual, hardworking, dedicated, kind, respectful, honest and extremely attentive. I have been a certified home health aide and also a certified nursing assistant since 1998. It has always been my and pleasure to make people happy. I particularly delight in helping those in need to become comfortable and happy. This is because as human beings, we all have a need, and desire to be happy. This is why helping others to be happier is very fulfilling for me.
I have worked in nursing homes, agencies and also with individuals as well. As you can imagine I am a very well experienced. My duties include but are not limited to bathing, dressing, undressing, feedin, reminding clients to take their medication on time, making bed, laundry, and much more.
Over the years, I have prided myself on giving the very best of quality care. This is simply because I am a firm believer in treating others the way I like to be treated. This has rewarded me with numerous letters of appreciation and recommendations which gives me graet pleasure and warms my heart greatly when ever I pick them up and reflect. Perhaps, we may look at a few together if you would like. Be blessed.
