I am a fun, loving and easy to get along person with empathy towards my caregiving careers. I love to talk with new people and try to build up positive relationships as possible. I am willing with confident to provide support and safe for any gender on any care they need as possible. I always respect, provide independent and dignity for my client as possible. I am a caregiver with more than 10 years of experience, I chose to become a senior caregiver is because it comes naturally to the family. I like this field because I am known for my sensitivity, my giving nature and my nurturing desire to help those who need help. l like being a caregiver because it is the most rewarding thing I can do and my passion is to put others first. Personal Achievement that I am really proud of is that I can care for seniors that need my help. I am compassionate and empathetic. I genuinely care for my fellow man. I am a good listener who pays attention to detail and I'm self-sufficient. I've completed training in the following courses through The Public Authority of Santa Clara County, Last phase of life, mental health, nutrition, personal care, pre-paramedical, Alzheimer's & Dementia Basics, first aid, diabetes, and CPR, to name a few. Being the oldest, and only girl of 4, I Inherited the role of caregiver at a very young age. I started as a babysitter and later in life gravitated towards adult care. I have remained a caregiver because I enjoy meeting people from different parts of the world and hearing their lives experiences and the knowledge, and wisdom they often share. For me, there's no greater satisfaction than going home at the end of my workday knowing that my presence made a difference in someone else's day and that I am appreciated.

Caregiving was something I've wanted to do since I myself didn't have any of my grandparents growing up. They lived in Hawaii & Samoa, so when I started in this field of work, it filled that missing spot of building a relationship w/ the elderly. What I love about caregiving is the fact that I'm able to build a friendship with the elderly. I enjoy long talks w/ them, learning new things about their history and so forth, and making sure they're ok & in good spirits. Not to mention, learning new recipes to cook and introduce my family to a new meal :) I am a mother of 4, and am of a Polynesian descent.

1. I became a caregiver through the inspiration of my late mother. She was in a vegetative state for almost 2 yrs. due to massive stroke. Reinvented myself from working in the corporate world (banking) to moving in the healthcare field. It's a different experience where one found joy and accomplishment working with the elderly. My salary rate is negotiable depending on client's needs. 2. Being a caregiver is very personal to me.. My focus is always the well-being & safety of my client. 3. Being a caregiver entails a lot of patience, compassion and experience to be able to understand every client's specific needs. . I try to keep a balance of everything I do to maintain my physical and psychological well-being. 4. I consider myself as energetic, strong-willed and resourceful. In my former job I was the lead CNA supervising 3 caregivers working 12 hrs. shift 24/7 in our client's own home. My relationship with my client & the family I've worked with has been very pleasant. Blessed to work with families that trust my work ethics and the care I provide for their loved ones.

I've spent the last 15 + years caring for my teenagers, their friends and their schools. if there was a place to help out I was usually there, and often stayed for years. my work experience is mostly in office administration, but this is not what I want to return to. I studied to be a drug and alcohol counselor, but would like to be able to help others as well, so I am looking into caregiver work. I would like to do something meaningful, and that I enjoy. I am a quick learner, and always up for a challenge. I have a ton of patience that I have developed over the years. I love learning new things, and I love helping people.
