I am an educated, professional, compassionate, caring, honest, hardworking caregiver from the Philippines. I have 20 years of 1st hand experiences as a caregiver, to which I can honestly say that I am good at what I am doing.,,, I personally took care of my mom for 2 years when she had a stroke & was bedridden, I took care of her personal hygiene, pills medications, food preparation, bath, grooming and dressing... ***** In June, 2007 to Dec, 2009, (2 1/2 years). I took care of a Non hodgskin lymphoma cancer. from administering her medications, bathing, feeding, washing, taking her temperature, morphine injections every hour a month before her death in Dec, 2009 ****** In 2001 to 2003, for 2 1/2 yrs. I worked as caregiver to spouses Sid and Violet Barnett ****** I was trained and worked for a well known Senior Assisted Living in Westwood, LA. I handled Ambulatory cases, Cancer Patients, Dependent and fully independent patients, wheelchair bound, Alzheimer and partially/advanced Dementia cases. ******Recently i took care of a 89 yr old woman in her house, until her Dementia worsen and the family had no choice but to put her on a facility. ******I do meal preparation as i can cook well; ,giving shower or bed bath, giving exercises for both legs, thighs, arms and torso. can help with hygiene, feeding, etc.... ******I have in my files a very commendable Character References from families of my past patients telling of how efficient, knowledgeable, caring and nurturing caregiver I am for your reference, ******I can honestly say that I know what I am doing and I am good at that. I am an experienced caregiver for 12 years. I have compassion in taking care of the elderly. I like to be a caregiver in the same manner that I enjoy helping and taking care of others. I worked for seven (7) years with my latest patient. She just passed away last December, 2014. She had Alzheimer-Dementia and Parkinson. She also had a G Tube Feeding for 5 years. I am so proud that my patient was able to live comfortably with love and compassion for longer years. She was 93 years old. I am a dependable and reliable caregiver. Trustworthy and Resourceful. 17 years as a CNA and Caregiver Working in hospitals nursing homes homecare and private families. I first became a caregiver after caring for my mother. What makes me a good caregiver is i like to sit down and listen to the individual and the family to find out their concerns and fears and how they want things to be. I respect all rights and will not over step my boundary. I'm a good listener and companion. I became a care giver after taking care of my grandma while she battled with cancer. It was a hard and emotional time but after she passed. I learned that we became closer and during that hard time we also had many good times. So in the end results i became a care giver to become a companion and to help others when help is needed.
