Caregiving was something I've wanted to do since I myself didn't have any of my grandparents growing up. They lived in Hawaii & Samoa, so when I started in this field of work, it filled that missing spot of building a relationship w/ the elderly. What I love about caregiving is the fact that I'm able to build a friendship with the elderly. I enjoy long talks w/ them, learning new things about their history and so forth, and making sure they're ok & in good spirits. Not to mention, learning new recipes to cook and introduce my family to a new meal :) I am a mother of 4, and am of a Polynesian descent.

I've spent the last 15 + years caring for my teenagers, their friends and their schools. if there was a place to help out I was usually there, and often stayed for years. my work experience is mostly in office administration, but this is not what I want to return to. I studied to be a drug and alcohol counselor, but would like to be able to help others as well, so I am looking into caregiver work. I would like to do something meaningful, and that I enjoy. I am a quick learner, and always up for a challenge. I have a ton of patience that I have developed over the years. I love learning new things, and I love helping people.
