I am a caregiver/companion with 8 years experience. I started off caring for my bed ridden step father who needed round the clock care and made sure he was able to stay in his own home instead of having to be put in a nursing home. I am experienced with strokes and all the residuals from them. After he passed I continued to take care of patients with a vast variety of illnesses. I have dealt with and have experience with dimentia (frontal lobe as well), Louey Body Dimentia along with the parkinsons side and Alzheimer's. I have dealt with incnontinance care, bathing, cooking, cleaning, laundry, anything that helps the home continue running in a smooth manor. I am a 32 year old female I am very reliable and able to do many things and have a great amount of patience and understanding. I feel the elderly should be able to stay in their home and be as comfortable as possible. I am a very compassionate person and love to help those in need. I feel as though I am perfect to help your family because my life has revolved around helping people especially at their most time of need. I have been trained to do things under extreme circumstances while staying calm. I am extremely reliable and passionate about helping people especially the elderly. I am available during the days and nights if needed occasionally, and also occasionally weekends. I have excellent references upon request.

As an advocate and caregiver for seniors for over 20 yrs., my goal had been to help them lead dignified and independent lifestyles in the comfort and safety of their own homes. In many circumstances, I'm available 24/7. I am cleared through the FBI/DOJ, TB, Bonded, CA Home Care Registry and have reliable vehicle)s) with full insurance. Although I have experience in in just about every area of care, I have a special place in my heart for those who suffer with Alzheimers/Dementia. I am reliable, compassionate, dedicated, competent and professional. I'm proud to be a native Californian. My primary goal is to make my clients feel loved, important, hopeful, safe, dignified, and confident they are getting the best care possible. I achieve this with honesty which leads to life long friendships with my clients and their families. This, in turn, leads to many excellent references which I'm very proud of.
In the year 2000 I joined the staff of a brain injury hospital, where I worked as a house keeper. Seven years later I decided I wanted to be a personal caregiver. I went to school and became a CNA in 2007. I was then offered a job as a part time caregiver. I enjoyed the one on one care with my patient and decided I liked being a personal caregiver instead of working at a hospital. Since then I have been working with private patients full-time. I have my own car, I am able to drive patients to doctor appointments and to run errands. I'm also a good cook or so I've been told by just about everyone that's tried my food. I really enjoy being a caregiver, and wouldn't trade it for any other job. I have worked with people with a vast variety of things such as Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, Paraplegics and many more. As Confucius said "choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in you're life"
Being a caregiver can be a rewarding experience. I have a passion for putting others in need first. It is a set of intrinsic qualities that certain human beings possess and others do not. It is all about personality and how that personality fits with the patient and the members of their family. It’s just as simple and just as complicated as that.
You can count on me! I am a Dependable, Caring and Experienced Certified Nursing Assistant with current California Department of Public Health certificate. I am passionate about helping families and their loved ones to have the quality of life they deserve in the comforts of their homes. Let Me Give You a Hand.

I have loved being in home healthcare for a long time. I have found my niche, per say. I am a positive but gentle personality. I can talk when needed & be quiet when needed also. I treat people in their homes exactly how they want to be treated & do what they like having done. Kinda like "Burger King," saying, "having it your way." It is your home & I try to make it be how you want it to continue to be. I am very patient & want those I care for to feel good when I am there. I do not plan on changing their care plan & what is already working unless the client or family tells me otherwise. I enjoy so many aspects of the job. I enjoy doing for the client. I enjoy cooking their meals when needed & I take my time with the client. I will do for them anything they would need me to do & make their days enjoyable. My #1 priority is client safety & feeling comfortable with me as their caregiver. I have lots of experience, I have my CNA lic here in CA also was a Medical Assistant & I am an LVN but not licensed in the state of CA. I came back to my home state in 2011 & did not take the test as I was going to do something else when I arrived back. With my caregiving experience I do not think I will get licensed out here. I have let too much time laspe, unfortunately.
What makes me a great caregiver is my compassion and empathy, my desire to help and be beneficial to others. My strength lies in my abilities to understand what is needed in helping my client achieve better health care outcomes. Having a background in healthcare of over 30 years experience taking care of clients from newborns to centurions. I'm trained postoperative rehabilitations and hospice care. My experience as both a registered nurse and chiropractor affords me insight into skills that are needed when taking care of clients with broad healthcare needs.
