My name is Judith. I'm a CNA since 2014 and a caregiver since 2012. I first wanted to be a doctor but changed my mind and I'm now trying to be a nurse and in the meantime I'm gaining experience in the field. I like being a caregiver because I serve people while making a big difference in their life. I help people who really can't help themselves and knowing that makes me feel fulfilled. I'm really proud of how much I've learned in a short period of time. I 've learned a lot from everyone around me: colleagues, nurses, families, patients, etc.
I was born and raised here in the Bay Area and am a retired registered nurse. After practicing in many different areas (medical/surgical, adult advice, school, long term care, dementia) I have found a passion for elder and end of life care but am happy to help anyone. My goals as a caregiver are to provide a safe, nurturing, supportive and respectful environment for my clients. Patience and a sense of humor are important as life for the elderly is pretty tough. Many are in chronic pain with multiple health issues that also include anxiety and depression . Rates for level of care that include companion, excise, light housekeeping, errands, meal prep and patient advocacy with MD. 1: My base rate is $27/hr with a 3hr minimum. Light assistance with activities of daily living. (Showering, toileting, dressing and ambulation) 2: Higher level of care is $33/hr with a 3 hr. minimum. Includes incontinent care, lifting and transfers, equipment monitoring and maintenance as well as end of life. *Above rates are discounted for cash payments. I have reliable transportation and charge .5/mile when using my car for errands and appointments etc. Please don't hesitate to contact me for any questions. Thank you for your consideration. Regards, Terri Nuss
Hi I'm April, I started out as a caregiver when my grandfather was in hospice care. Knowing he was dying I just wanted to make him comfortable and just simply care for him. I would say that's when I realize that I would devote my like to serving people in need and I believe that elderly ppl need it the most. I've always enjoy conversations with my clients weather it's talking about their past or giving some life lessons , learning from the elderly is beautiful knowledge. It is what made me the caregiver I am today! Being a mother of five children, has given me patients and understanding along with my experience of being a Certified Nurse Assistant and a caregiver for over 20 years. I will definitely be a wonderful fit for your loved one. So When can I start lol
I'm a good listener I know how to listen and remember what my patients/client told me about their life and remembers it I have a passion a real passion with my job,. I love what I do. I will count as an achievements to me if I see my client/ patient got the help what they need at the end of my shift, proof to that is you see them smiling and happy.
I am a caregiver/companion with 8 years experience. I started off caring for my bed ridden step father who needed round the clock care and made sure he was able to stay in his own home instead of having to be put in a nursing home. I am experienced with strokes and all the residuals from them. After he passed I continued to take care of patients with a vast variety of illnesses. I have dealt with and have experience with dimentia (frontal lobe as well), Louey Body Dimentia along with the parkinsons side and Alzheimer's. I have dealt with incnontinance care, bathing, cooking, cleaning, laundry, anything that helps the home continue running in a smooth manor. I am a 32 year old female I am very reliable and able to do many things and have a great amount of patience and understanding. I feel the elderly should be able to stay in their home and be as comfortable as possible. I am a very compassionate person and love to help those in need. I have 10+ years of working as a caregiver. I have a passion and a great love in working with elderly people. I am friendly, easy to get along with, reliable, flexible and trustworthy. I have taken care of my elderly parents for many years and that was what attracted me to being a caregiver. I love talking and helping elderly people. Most importantly is to keep them clean, comfortable and happy. I have had a chance to take care of an elderly woman since she was 92 years old. She had dementia and was completely blind. For six years I was with her 5 nights a week. She has taught me a lot of patience. Patience, patience and more patience.
I am calm , I am compassionate and caring , I love what I do and make sure I deliver the best care to meet the need of the client , and follow safety rules. I love what I do , because I feel I bring some sense of security, hope and safety to my client who is dependent at some level, I love companionship, to sit and listen to their stories , past achievements and legacy, to give them a comfortable feeling of hope to still feel honoured and respected .
