First of all, I'm a very compassionate care giver who cares about what I do for others, just because I take great pride in my work ethics, I'm also very reliable in showing up for assignments, considerate of the needs of my client-patients, and I want to make a difference in the lives of those whom I will serve. Last of all, I'm a military veteran.
I'm very easy to get along kind of a person. With my fijian heritage, caregiving has been something i was exposed to at a very early age. Meaning we attend to our elders needs or whoever within our community needs to be taken care of one way or the other. It is important to understand the need of the person you are there for. Communicate in a friendly and cheerfull manner. And be treat him or her as someone close to you. In the field of caregiving, the one thing that makes me proud is I'm also identified as a person who is easy to connect to because of my personality.

Working with people in a home care setting, it is essential that a caregiver feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion caregivers will let the person they are caring for know that they care about the person and want to do what they can to help them. I love to give the client the help they need and keep a smile on their face
I am firm but gentle, organized, understanding, caring and kind. I am responsible. I word at an Elementary School as the admin assistant. I also work in the health office dealing with student injuries, sick students, administer medication to students. Record and enter into system the students that come into the office. I enjoy spending time with elderly and listening to their stories from long long ago. Being able to adapt to my environment. I originally started out as a health assistant with the Folsom Cordova Unified School District in 2007/2008 school year and worked my way up to my current position as an Administrative Assistant. As an Administrative Assistant, throughout the work day my job still requires me to utilize my skills as a health assistant helping students with injuries & administor medications. I have my first aide, CPR, and defibrillator certificate as well.
Caregiving has been a part of my whole life. Family and friends whenever in need. Becoming a caregiver was my calling. Being compassionate with someone makes us all better people, regardless of ones capacity to care or their need of care...it's my goal to do my best to keep my client comfortable and not needing anything. My personal achievement only in part was going to college and getting my Bachelors Degree in Health Admin. My goals are not finished, but caring for others along the way is what my calling is. I have taken care of my mother until her death from complications of MS, my grandson since he was a baby....currently 16, but losing his battle everyday. So caring about people and their dignity and their rights to have care and compassion in their lives is important to me. Even if that means never saying a word and just being present.
I'm an honest caring person, when I was younger I helped my parents look after my grandparents. I love my grandparents so much and respect them a lot. I have 7 years of caregiving experience. I know what'slike to make them smile. I love playing the piano and singing. Caregiving is all about showing our elders love, care and respect.
I became a caregiver @ an early age, I feel that this was my destiny, what i was meant and put here for. I find myself doing this on a daily basic not realizing i'm doing it with family and friends.Gives me peace to know if i can put a smile on just one person face to bring the a little joy.
My name is Margaret and I am mostly experienced in Memory Care. I like caring for Memory Care clients. But I do have clients with other conditions, such as, stroke, diabetes and congested heart failure etc.. In 2011 when my ex mother in law became sick I became one of her caregivers. It was then that I realized how much I enjoyed caring for her. I do believe this is my calling. I was once offered a position as manager of a home health company. I did not think I could do that job. I was right because I need to be the caregiver not the office person. I love my job. I like everything about caregiving. I love my seniors. I love their stories and their laughter. I'm happy when they are happy. I look forward everyday to seeing my seniors. I love cooking, cleaning and fussing over my seniors, so I'm a natural at caregiving. Remember if you love what you do it's never a job. My fee is between $20 and $35 an hour.
