I am fully vaccinated for Covid 19. I have over 15 years experience as a CNA in Home Health Care and companionship. I would like to utilize my skill set in a private one on one caregiving environment. Perhaps the most important element to my success is that I am very passionate about my patients and trying to meet their needs truly going the extra mile so that I am improving their lives on multiple levels. I truly believe to be an excellent caregiver you must put the clients needs & feelings first. I strive to make sure all my clients maintain their sense of normalcy and dignity. I have experience with caregiving for clients that are under the age of 10 & over the age of 80. On a personal note: I was my mothers caregiver for the last 2 years of her life. She was on & off of hospice while she battled a liver & lung disease. Currently, I'm a Respite Worker for clients that have a range of health issues. (Downs Syndromes, Deafness, Autism Spectrum Disorder) I have completed my Senior Caregiver training required by the state of California to attain a license as a home care aide. I have also completed several Carelinx education courses & I am open to taking any class my client might request. I am a very loyal caregiver. I started my career taking care of my elderly mother until her last breath. Though I put my life on hold to care for my mother, it was a time I consider to be a blessing. It began my love for care giving. The most recent Home Care Provider was for a client-friend I served for over 7 years. I cared for him up until his very last breath. In the 7 years I worked for him I never called in sick. I feel my expertise is adapting to the clients needs not just in the physical, but emotionally, and by way of companionship. I bacame a caregiver because I like to help people and also to meet new people. You learn something new everyday. I like that you get to spend one on one time with a person and to get to know them more. I enjoy what I do, I am also cpr/first aid certified and recently bcame a DSP. I am very patient, friendly, caring, and fun to get along with and very easy going.
