Hi,my name is Linna and I have been privileged to provide care for the elderly for 27 years.I started this humbling journey as a CNA in medical facility and have been able to branch out into other work environments.I have worked in medical facilities, hospitals, with agencies, and with families. This allowed me to gain various skills and gain a board perspective in care-giving situation and settings.I was able to learn, gain, and provide skills in alzheimer care, skilled living, mental health, assistant living, and private care duty.the most rewarding position is when I am to provide private care. I believe private care giving helps facilitate a one-on-one relationship, personally and professional, and I am able to utilize and mold my skills specifically to my client's need. this, I believe, provides the most optimal care for the client and their family,as much as experience and skills are important.the greatest factor in being a great care giver is providing patience, understanding, dedication, and compassion to their client and family.I believe finding the right caregiver for you or you love one is significant and I hope we can be a good fit. CNA certified.
I am a mother of two sons, I choose to be a caregiver/companion because I enjoy helping others, its soulful work and I believe my purpose. What makes me a great caregiver is that \\\\\\"I care\\\\\\" I am patient, organized, flexible and empathetic. I became a caregiver at a young age as second from the oldest of seven children, helping my mother was natural and important to me. Later in life she had a stroke in her late 30's, I continued to care for her throughout her life, she was my pal. Since then I have cared for seniors/veteran's in their private homes helping them, encouraging them with everyday activities, medication reminders, working with the treatment team to optimize care and comfort. I enjoy helping others in need or less fortunate than myself and the deep feeling of satisfaction it brings to me. Some personal achievements, when I was asked ( trusted) to babysit my neighbor's week old baby at the age of twelve, I was so honored ! Then at fourteen I saved a 4 year old boy who was bobbing up and down drowning in the deep end of a neglected swimming pool. I jumped into the dirty, cold, dark water in the middle of winter and saved the life of a little 4 year old twin boy. His twin sister was hysterical and the little boy was frightened but ok. I am comfortable and have worked in Human Services with all ages. I have all the necessary clearances from DOJ & CHP plus CPR & Child, plus TB to work in CA.
Being able to assist somebody gives me great satisfaction. I have been working as a certified NURSING assistant for 9 years, in a skilled NURSING facility. Working with charge nurses and other health team members ,helped me to improve and acquire skills needed to assist residents with their activities of daily living.
I became a caregiver because of 2 main reasons. 1st is I believe that being a caregiver brings spiritual treasures that will not spoil or be taken away. As a hospice aid for 7 years I realized that we or our spirit belongs to a place where we will no longer suffer. 2nd I always pray for my time when my body also become old and fragile. When that time comes I will also like to be treated the same way I treated my client, with respect, compassion and care. The thing I like about caregiver is the joy that I get after the client passes away and hear from family and friends that I have done a good job. The personal achievement that I can say was from my last case with a couple in Los Altos where the husband died. I was live-in for five days and at the final days of the client I remained with him all night and called the children early in the morning to come and say their final respect to their Father. And surely it was his last day and the children was so appreciative of it. Just a quote from his recommendation letter "It is my absolute pleasure to write this recommendation letter. Raul is a consummate professional and a kind, loving, attentive and compassionate caregiver. He is worthy of my unconditional praise, resulting from the outstanding service Raul provided our family during the time of need" "The bond of friendship Raul engendered became so rich that Dad missed him terribly on Raul's days off with his own family. He would light up upon Raul's return Dad confided freely"
1) I am a compassionate person and greatly care to improve the environment to assist the client. 2) It is a rewarding experience to see the client flourish with the care that is being provided. 3) Challenging myself to develop new skills daily. 4) I greatly appreciate an ethical, healthy, and encouraging environment both as a team player and as a care provider.
