Hello! My name is Elaine and I'm a great caregiver because, after looking after my father who had Alzheimer's for four years, I have the kind of experience and genuine compassion for seniors that I would want if I were looking for a caregiver. I have completed my CNA training, and am CPR certified. I've also completed several certificate courses in Safety, Memory Care, etc.. Safety is my number one priority. I'm all about fall prevention and have developed techniques to keep my clients as mobile and self-sufficient as possible while keeping them safe at the same time. For me, looking after elders is a privilege. I think that in this sometimes youth-obsessed culture, we can forget how much we all owe to the Greatest Generation. I love to talk to my clients about their experiences, their children, the music they loved, and anything else that brings a smile to their faces! From my father I learned about the music and culture of the 30's, 40's and 50's, and I love it when my clients sing their favorite songs or talk about what movies they liked from those days. I like to cook, so if your loved one has any favorite dishes I'm happy to make them. I can prepare fresh, healthy foods as well as fun desserts. I hope you will consider me for your Caregiver.

My personality traits conducive to my caregiving profile are compassion, empathy, honesty, not excluding strength of life experience. My experience with caregiving provides the opportunity to cultivate my humanity and understanding of the human condition. My pride originates from knowing I can make a difference in those individuals who face physical limitations and the potential neurological disorders associated with an aging population.

Nursing is a calling for me. Making sure that people receive the best possible care I am able to provide is my most important goal. Good nursing requires being completely present while in someone's home or in a facility. My standards are no cell phones while at work, no clock watching, and I always address people with respect by using MR.or Mrs. (last name) until I am encouraged otherwise. Using Mama or Papa and other terms of endearment are not appropriate for me personally in professional healthcare. I have 11+ years of hospitality experience with hotels and restaurants, but after years of feeling unfulfilled, I returned to school and began to transition into healthcare in 2019. I have a certification of completion for CNA school as well as previous CPR certification. I have been a child caregiver for 8+ years and working with elderly with disabilities for the past 2+ years. I'm very passionate about serving and helping others reach their fullest potential!
