Care giving is something i choose to do out of passion, and dream I had about helping older people, just like i love taking care of children too. because I always pray to live longer and old ,so I started by trying to help volunteering weekly because am in to filmmaking, singing and dancing which Is also one of my passion ,but The job comes once a while before i decided to make it a full time job due to my experience with older people, and people with special needs .So what made me a better caregiver is because I care for my clients like they are my own parents and family in a special way.My believe as a caregiver is you need first to love people as you love yourself, then put yourself in their shoes and feel their pains then you will know how it feels that they need more time and care ..

Why a caregiver it has always been in the family the nourishment and ability to help each other. I enjoy how my clients share their life history it means we have bonded in a personal way he or she is willing to give information that is usually meant for their family. Personal achievement to be proud of there are many I am proud of overcome any difficulties life put on our path. Life is a rollercoaster we all have difficulties that is the ride going up, we have our scary moments those are the turns/twists on a ride and the fun is the flat area toward the end when everything seems to be going our way.

Right off Ill tell you that Ive worked with private family care only. My next position after the passing of my best friend(please see job description) was AWESOME. Caring for two sisters in their late 90's both with Dementia. They loved walking to the park, they even liked the work out equipment at the park. They could actually wear me out there, and of course when we would get home, they'd immediately forget that we'd already gone and want to go back, I knew physically they couldnt, and that's the only thing that saved me, it was funny. Finding humor in any situation is important, and a large part of my personality. Also keeping the atmosphere light, with a charge of calm energy are very important parts of what I bring. Currently I assist with two families, one with dementia the other with aphasia and other underlying issues. Listening is also an important part of what I do as well as picking up cues from not only the patient but from the families of the patients as well. Honestly every day is different, however if the fit between the caregiver, patient and family are right, I become a part of your family and life. I prefer this as opposed to someone who just works for a family. We are going to spend a lot of time together in the most personal ways, not just bathing, shopping, cooking; but stress, tears, happiness and genuine affection. Im interested in these care situations only. My Name again is Nicole, Im 46 years old and Im dedicated to making every day, the best we can make it.

I am not the kind of caregiver who competes with other caregiver by saying i am the best. In my 15 years of caring for the elderly or seniors, i learned three important virtues that i acquired through the years, these are compassion, patience & most of all love & treating our seniors with dignity & respect. I would described myself as a simple person & faith to God is my strongest point. And for me it is always an honor & privilege to be of service to our seniors & see them blossom on their golden years.

I can say I am a good caregiver because I love what I do. I want helping other individual and giving the best care I can share them. My profession and being a caregiver molded me to be a strong person and love the work I do even in times of heavy and strenuous workload. I can give you testimonies and documents about the cases I handled. Let other discover who you are.. As I mention earlier I like to be a caregiver because I touch lives of people, especially the elders 100 percent I can make them feel that even in their last stage of life there are still people who can let them feel that they are important. The greatest achievement I have was able to send my daughter to a good school because of caregiving. Even though our work is tiring at the end of the day a client will tell you and will say....'THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING YOU MADE ME COMPLETE. For me this are acievements. I am a very nurturing and kind person. I am very sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of those around me, very empathetic, gentle, good sense of humor. Treating people with respect is very important to me and I know it is to you as well. Most recently, for over a year, I worked with 2 female clients. One client is 98 with visual and hearing impairments, diabetes and mild dimentia. I was responsible for taking daily glucose readings, keeping records of her medical data/appointments/medication dispensing. I cooked her a hearty breakfast and we ate together. I introduced her to a game called "WordCross" and she loved to play every day with me. It was great for her mind and was a good social experience as well. Another client had early stage Alzheimers, but was highly functional. I provided companionship, meal preparation for her and her husband, fixed her hair, walked outside with her, did their grocery shopping, and occasionally we enjoyed shopping/lunch trips together. I have additional experience working with clients that have terminal cancer. I not only met their specific physical needs, but created an environment for them which brought them comfort and peace during the most difficult time of their lives. What made me most aware of the needs of seniors was when my own grandmother was near the end of her life. I helped her daily with dressing, grooming, feeding, and eventually accompanied her through her last days in hospice. I understand how important it is for families to feel confident that their loved one is being treated with gentleness and respect. I want to help seniors to have the best quality of life possible. I look forward to visiting with you to see how I could help meet the needs of your loved one, Amy

I am a good listener, I also like to engage in conversation, I am very punctual. I like to hear peoples stories and look at family photos (past, present and future). I am patient and have a kind and loving heart. I like to advocate on behalf of my client when I see a need too; allowing space and time to build a healthy relationship and a bond of trustworthiness.. What attracted me to this work are those family members and loved one's whom I love dearly, faced with their own mental, emotional, physical and psychological challenges. Being able to lend my support to them in one way or another I found to be very fulfilling. I have always found a pleasant sense of joy in the ability of giving back to others who are in need of my services.. There are many hurdles one must strive to overcome in this game of life no one is exempt. I can honestly say that I have learned many lessons, and in the process received just as many blessings. From a place of love and kindness I can give to others.. That's what care giving is suppose to do, give love to life...
