I was drawn to caregiving as I watched others and helped out before it was my official job, I don't see it as a job and enjoy helping and interacting with the elderly and building a bond with my clients and on-going relationships with my client's families, I still keep in contact with some today. I am a natural at providing companionship because of how much I enjoy interaction with people and the importance of human relationships, the insight I get from the diverse individuals I get to work with helps me learn on the job and provides a fulfilling career filled with friendships I make along the way and clients that stuck with me long after I was no longer working for them. I care deeply for my clients and make it my priority to treat them, rightly, as a human, rather than just a job.
Hello, my name is Chelsea and I am in the process of applying to nursing school. I just graduated from college and earned my BA while playing a division I sport. I am very caring and passionate about helping others in any way I can. This hands on experience will also help me obtain my future goal of becoming a nurse.
I currently work as an instructor for a disabled-adult's day program in Stockton Ca. It has been an absolute joy to provide care and company for others. I have always enjoyed extending a helping hand to others whenever possible in both my personal and professional life. I always enjoy the company of others and I find it refreshing to have the opportunity to build relationships with such a diverse web of individuals. My greatest enjoyment about care-giving is the impact I am allowed to have on the lives of others. Aside from my professional life, I've always had the opportunity to provide care even in my personal life. My mother has a plethora of health conditions from sever arthritis to being Bi-Polar. My sister and nephew are also also autistic and my spouse also manages Ehlors- Danlos Syndrome. I assist him with daily activities and mobility restraints. I hope to provide excellent care for as many individuals as I can.
The thing that makes me a good caregiver is the fact that I do it because i love all different walks of life. I have a great personality , a big heart, and i honestly love what i do. I have had many clients with many different disabilities . I.honestly believe the only way to do a good job is love wbat you do.
I am very compassionate, my friends and family would say I'm too caring. I love to help out as much as I can with people in need. Becoming a caregiver has always been my interest because I am very family oriented and I always wanted to take care of my family, and as my grandparents got older it gave me the opportunity to help them with their every day life and make them feel better about things they are not able to do anymore. By doing things like that it gives me a sense of accomplishment and really is rewarding to me. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being able to give someone that quality of life back and seeing them happy, I am really loveable and friendly so I make them my family. My most personal achievement in life so far, would probably becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant at 17 then being the first one of my siblings to graduate high school (I am the 3rd born). I am also in school getting my associates in biology to then transfer to nursing school.

I believe I make a great caregiver because of the compassion I have towards others who can't do for themselves to where a simply conversation can make ones day. I love the fact I make a difference in a person life being there for them. Knowing I'm there and they appreciate me being able to help them is a great achievement to me
I recently moved to California from South Dakota after receiving my Bachelors of Science degree in both Biology and Physical Science. I have several years of experience caring for a range of people including the elderly and disabled. I provide compassionate and thorough care to all of my clients and ensure that they receive care that exponentially improves their quality of life. Dignity and respect are at the forefront of the care I provide and I am able to think critically and quickly under stress. Caregiving is such a wonderful career because I have the ability to ensure my clients' physical care needs are being met and their mental and emotional wellbeing is thriving. I still keep in touch with several of my past clients in South Dakota via handwritten letters and I often times have family members request my services for their loved ones after I meet them for the first time. Being a caregiver is such a fulfilling and gratifying career because I have the direct ability to make someones quality of life the best it can be.
