I first learned that I enjoyed patient-care back when I was a medical assistant in a private practice. I enjoyed learning and caring for others. I became a personal caregiver in 2005, and since then I have been able to assist many individuals and their families. I have found that my love for patient care today is done at a more personal level because every individual that I have assisted has their own personal needs; some need help with recovery, while others just need comforting and care through their aging process. By assisting patients in their home, to keep their routines, help them with medications, or just the in the simple act of being a good listener, I have found makes the world of difference to them--I am happy to have made a difference in someone's life. I am very proud of being a professional caregiver. Care-giving is an occupation which I have chosen and in many ways it has chosen me. My life has been influence by the many fine people of which I have had the privilege of knowing and providing care. Many of these individuals gave me the greatest gift that one can receive- their knowledge and experiences. I have a little more understanding of life and history as seen through their eyes. It has been a privileged to care and provide comfort.
Hello my name is Katherine and I've been in the home care business for 30+ years and liked compassion and care because that's what it's all care and compassion for the people you taken care of and you care for them like your family and I have done it all my life. I have tremendous empathy, patience and respect for each client. I treat each one as I do my father, whom I have been caring for the last 2 years. Before caregiving, I managed restaurants for 23 years. I have ALWAYS been a customer service focused person. I wanted to make a change that fulfilled my heart. The thing I enjoy most about my job is assisting people with retaining their independence and self respect, even with a disability. Everyone needs to feel productive, like they contribute. The personal achievement that I am most proud of is that in the last year I have gotten my dad into the best mental, nutritional health that he has been in in the last 30 years.

Hello my name is Yesenia, I have 10 yrs experience as a caregiver. My passion is to care for people with difficulties that aren't able to care for them selves as well as companionship. What I enjoy most as a caregiver is to provide clients with the best quality of care possible in their home. I am a reliable, loving, caring , trustworthy, patient, attentive, dependable and sensitive person that likes to care for others. My achievement as a caregiver has been to be able to provide the comfort and piece of mind to family members and clients when they are at end of life. This has been the reason that attracted me to becoming a caregiver. Knowing that you're love one is in that stage in life and being able to spend the last months to minutes next to them in their home has made an impact in me. I've witnessed a multiple of cases when the clients family comes over have drinks, play the clients favorite music, cook their favorite meals, watch home videos, talk about their past, how they meet their loved ones and being able to do all this in the comfort of their home and allowing me to become part of it is a great achievement and it's something that I can be proud of for being able to care for patients in their home so they can do as they wish in that stage in life is an accomplishment to me.
