I have been an LVN for 16 years now and being a nurse is part of the caregiving family. Why else would one become a nurse but to be there for the patient and the family. Being a nurse caregiver with homecare experience plus hospice experience makes me someone that understands the complexity yet compassion needed as patient and family maneuvers thru what can be a challenge. I myself recently experienced being a family caregiver to my late father so I have walked the walk.
Caring and compassionate Christian nurse with over 25 years experience. CNA certified, and a graduate from Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts LVN program. Professional CPR Certified. Honest, dependable, knowledgeable and ethical. I love to care for senior citizens and interact with them playing cards, listening to old music, gardening, watching old movies or just talking with them. I feel I'm the best candidate to care for your loved one to keep them safe, happy, and well cared for.
I started out as a CNA when I was 16 years old in a convalescent home, I was in the Army from 1975 to 1978. I used the GI Bill to become an LVN. I've worked in LTC, rehabilitation and acute care settings. you name it I've probably done it. My father was a minister and my Mom always wanted to be a nurse, however she kept busy being a ministers wife, I took care of both of them in their last days. I now prefer to take care of people in their homes, which I believe is the ideal setting and much less stressful.
I BECAME A CAREGIVER BECAUSE I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED TAKING CARE OF PEOPLE. I LOVE THE CHANCE TO WORK ONE ON ONE WITH PEOPLE AND LEARNING WHAT KIND OF LIVES THEY HAVE LIVED. I AM VERY PROUD OF MYSELF FOR FOLLOWING MY DREAMS AND GETTING INTO NURSING LIKE I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO. I AM A VOCATIONAL NURSING STUDENT AND HAVE BEEN A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT FOR OVER 2 YEARS AND I HAVE LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT,
I had a family member that was in the hospital and I saw how well the cna took care of them. I like it because i'm giving back when people need it most.My personal achievement is just having the family thank you because you have helped there family member and just to leave an long lasting impression on them.I look at my self to be a friendly and helpful person get along well with others and just like being around poeple.
