I am punctual, very compassionate about what I do for people who have lost some independence from a life event. Compassion for the family involved to help lessen the burden. I like to tell stories that help the family get to know who I am and I love to hear stories from them as well. I have made Caregiving my Career and take it seriously to become highly regarded and recommended. I enjoy helping the patient and their families keep their lifestyles they have without interruption. I like seeing results so with that being said, I had achieved my series 6 & 63 license (which was a challenge for me) and was proud to present products that would get higher interest with low risk. I also did debt settlements and was happy to negotiate the lowest rate for my clients to settle. I work hard and with compassion whether your my customer, patient, friend or family member because I believe everyone needs help sometimes and I look past any obstacles getting it done.
Hello my name is Katherine and I've been in the home care business for 30+ years and liked compassion and care because that's what it's all care and compassion for the people you taken care of and you care for them like your family and I have done it all my life. I've worked in the medical field as it in EMT for 17 years and I've taken care of people with special need too.
I first learned that I enjoyed patient-care back when I was a medical assistant in a private practice. I enjoyed learning and caring for others. I became a personal caregiver in 2005, and since then I have been able to assist many individuals and their families. I have found that my love for patient care today is done at a more personal level because every individual that I have assisted has their own personal needs; some need help with recovery, while others just need comforting and care through their aging process. By assisting patients in their home, to keep their routines, help them with medications, or just the in the simple act of being a good listener, I have found makes the world of difference to them--I am happy to have made a difference in someone's life. I am very proud of being a professional caregiver. Care-giving is an occupation which I have chosen and in many ways it has chosen me. My life has been influence by the many fine people of which I have had the privilege of knowing and providing care. Many of these individuals gave me the greatest gift that one can receive- their knowledge and experiences. I have a little more understanding of life and history as seen through their eyes. It has been a privileged to care and provide comfort.

Caregiver I started working as caregiver since I was 13 in 1976 when my step great, great grandmother was very sick and moved in to our house bedridden patient. I did everything for her: feeding, cleaning up all kinds of messes, bed baths, sponge baths, undressing, dressing, grooming, transfers with assistance since she's very overweight, showing kindness, patience, empathy, compassion, genuine love and care, respect and dignity. Then, I was taking care of my grandparents, my father who was diagnosed with CML until he died on 2002, some relatives and friends. I worked with people with medical issues: blood pressure problems, endocrine disorders, diabetics, stroke sufferers, different types of cancer, brain disorders, mental disorders, Alzheimer's and different types of Dementia, Parkinson's, ALS, MS, and more. Since I arrived here in US in 2007, I worked in six-beds board and care, Memory Care facilities and Assisted Living facilities, private homes, in-home cares (IHSS), housekeeping, laundry, range of motions physical exercises and more. Then, I went to school and became a Certified Nurse Assistant and had worked in the Skilled Nursing Facility. Also, I resigned my job in the facility on 2016 to take care my Mother-in-Law who was suffering from Parkinson's Disease. She died last month, October 25, 2019.
