I have worked as a CNA for over 9 years and as an HHA for over 5 years. I enjoy what I do. My goal is to become a nurse and being a CNA and a Caregiver is a good first step. Whenever I work with my clients, my aim is to find creative ways to encourage them to do something more than they have done before. Though working with various clients has its ups and downs, it is especially exciting for me to see someone get better while in my care. Even a little progress is better than no progress at all.
I am compassionate, dependable, trustworthy. I worked in assisted living facility and memory care facility. I am a Certified Home Health Aide ( CHHA) registered in social service of California. I've been doing caregiving for almost 7 years. The last client that I regularly worked lasted for 5 years. The family entrusted her to me. I can give you some character reference if you want.
Hello, my name is Sandra Cordova, I originally became a caregiver when my daughter fell I'll in November 2011 my duties included medication management, cooking and cleaning, taking her to and from doctors appointments, shopping, companionship, occasional helping with dresing and laundry. That ended in March 2015. Since then I have worked for other clients through IHSS. When the work is done for my clients to their satisfaction, I consider it to be a successful day. I am proud to have seen my clients through a few crisis situations successfully. I believe I am a great care giver because I am willing to go the extra mile for my clients. I care about my clients needs not only because it's my job but, because I care about people. I'm a responsible caring, compassionate person who will be on your side, on your team, making sure you are getting the best care possible as my client. I was given a Letter of Recommendation from Riverside County Office of Aging from Jennifer R Persicone, LCSW (951) 867-3800
As an EMT, I learned the importance of taking care of those in need during critical moments. Often times, the greatest satisfaction came from simply keeping a mother, father, child or grandparent safe and stable long enough for the family to be there with them and hold their hand. The relief I would see on the family's face, knowing that their loved one was being taken care of pays off in ways material things never could. I got into care-taking initially to make some extra income in a way that came naturally to me. Although I was no stranger to the medical field, I wasn't sure what to expect. Now, some time later, I can say that there is a satisfaction in knowing that I am playing a small role in a family's journey to best provide for their loved one. Being called a friend of a nearly 90 year old man who I've know a fraction of that time is something I will most likely always hold dear. Listening to stories of a childhood in a different era, a marriage that spanned over six decades, and the ups and downs of a life lived are all things not easily obtained. As someone who can't stand the sight of others in pain or misery, I look forward to providing compassion with dignity and care with expertise for your loved one.
