What makes me a great caregiver Iam very observant and attentive I love working with people. I like to learn new things and I am very helpful. I have been a caregiver for my step dad who has passed on and I work for a company in gainesville, florida for a short time where I worked with a young lady for 12 hrs and an elderly lady that was in a wheelchair where I had to make lunch or dinner sometime breakfast, help keep the house clean, help with bathing and I was also there companion

I hold an RN Associate of Science Degree in Nursing and am seasoned in the healthcare field since 2000, taking care of my own grandparents is what led me to nursing school, I personally understand and recognize the hardship when having to care for aging love ones, and more importantly the internal conflict of choosing who to entrust for their care, I strive to help seniors live their life with as much independence and dignity as they can, and enjoy giving back in some small way as a caregiver, because after all, they too were once loving caregivers themselves :)

I was a nurse for over 15 years in a hospital setting, but have not been practicing for many years. I stayed home to raise my children. When they were older, I began my career as a private in-home caregiver working for over 10 years with stroke survivors. Most recently, my husband and I worked with at-risk youth running a home of six boys in foster care. I love people of all ages, but especially seniors. I've had many years of experience interacting with people in a variety of settings, utilizing many skills. I can help with transportation services and home care and any activities of daily living or just be a companion to those who need a friend. I love cooking, crafts and hobbies and enjoy encouraging others.

I can help cook, help with housecleaning, laundry, errands, shopping, transportation to any kind of appointment, and give compassionate and loving companionship. I love providing home care giving services to those that would otherwise would not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses. I also try to bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a client's day, that means a lot to me. It is important to laugh. I have done CNA work in the past, I have my Home Health Aide certificate and have been doing care giving services in clients homes for 10 years. I enjoy every day that I can make a difference in someones life.

I became a CNA as a young teenager and have remained in the health field. I always desired to become a nurse as a young girl to help care for others. I have been a LPN for 19 years. I have worked in a variety of healthcare settings including home care services. I enjoy helping improve my clients' quality of life. It is very rewarding to know that I make a difference in the lives of others.

What makes me a great caregiver is because to be a caregiver is the empathy and compassion for working with people in a home care setting it is also is stenshoel and wanting to be a caregiver feeling the desire to want to help people who can't help themselves. And being a great caregiver I want to be someone that the company can count on me I'm truly flexible and reliable and first aid and CPR certified and what expired me to want to be a caregiver or companion is my 81 year old grandmother. and I'm also looking to further my knowledge in healthcare.

All my life I have known that the perfect profession for me was to offer my caring support and comfort to others in need. Growing up in Rio, Brazil, I graduated with a M.S. in Nursing and worked in hospitals. Upon moving to the USA in the late 1980s, I had to accept that all of my schooling & work experience did not translate to continuing my Nursing career. Yet I still have the skill set as a Registered Nurse. I decided to embark on In-Home Elder Care as an alternative where my schooling could put me in the very upper echelon for Caregivers . My career assisting the elderly has span over 25 years. I am transitioning down to the Florida Gold Coast from Citrus County and focused on securing a Full Time Live-In assignment in taking my next career step.
