Goodness, kindness, and unconditional love from my sweet relatives taught me to be loving, caring, and considerate of my elders. Hi my name is Cheyenne Wood. I've been a caregiver since 2019 and acquired my CNA license in June 2019. I am a 22 year old, female and love being a caregiver there's so much that I have learned and carry with me daily from this job. Compassion, honesty, and reliability are three things I always provide to my client and their families. Knowing that I can help your loved one remain at home and independent makes this job more than a job.

Ive been a caregiver for about 10 years. 5 years certified. When I got started in this field it was out of necessity. My grandmother had a stroke and i had no choice. I didn't even want to be a caregiver. After about a year my grandmother passed away. But the feeling that i got from being able to care for her like she cared for me was indescribable. First time I felt i had contributed something; actually helped somebody. Like I made a difference, like i made her last days better. 10 years later I cant picture myself doing anything else. I love what I do. And everytime I help a client or they smile and say thank you its like helping my grandmother all over again.

I became a caregiver completely by accident because a lady I knew needed someone to care for her Mom and I was available. I realized that I was very good at it. I love helping people that cannot help themselves. I helped a lady that had PSP, a form of Parkinsons, that was the first time that I had fed, clothed, bathed and changed underwear on an adult. Helping her was so absolutely rewarding. I made her's and her daughter's life a lot easier. I am a CNA, 57 years of age, 2 adult daughters, 2 grandchildren. I am a non-smoker, very compassionate, caring and intelligent. I love to read, sew, do crafts and watch football.

What makes me a good caregiver, I strive for the best. I have a passion for helping others. I love to be the best impact on someone's life for a outcome of a change or certain situation. My attraction to being a caregiver is making the elder smile, because there live has change so much and people tend to forget about them. I want to be the change to make them feel alive again and help them to remember that some one cares. I enjoy the gatherings with the elders or residents and having activities with them or if they are having a bad day helping them get back to how they once was even if it takes many times to do that, it shows them a positive outlook and keeps them from falling into depression. My best achievement is everyday I get to work and become apart of there every day life's and I get to be apart of the good and the bad to help them through, even with rehabilitation I get to be involved in there cares and to see them from being in pain to leaving to go home happy and even though they don't get to choose who cares for them they leave happy knowing and grateful that It was me that they came across to walk along there journey.

I am a great caregiver, because I have a great sense of selflessness and empathy. I always enjoyed taking care of patients it just came natural. I was the one who took care everyone in my own family who got sick even when I was a teenager. So I decide to go to school for CNA and Medical assistance and I also have a certificate in long-term care, I have over 20 years in this field and love every minute of it.. I have a willingness to serve my patients with no attitude and I have the patience to wait out a patient bad days. I work in nursing home, assisted living facilities, and over 8 years in home care. I believe in treating people the way I want to be treated because one day when I need assistance or care I expect the best care. I am trustworthy, reliable and dependable. I always wanted to become a RN but because of financial issues, I didn't finish my degree. That didn't stop me become a certified nursing assistant, I still can help others care for themselves. Hello I am Christy, I am a teacher by profession, I had taught 14 years in the Philippines and I am a license teacher too in Wisconsin. I just moved in GA last June 2019. I am a good caregiver, I gave cares to my clients as they arr my parents, I am honest, trustworthy, patient, and loves what I do. My mom who suffered from Parkinson Desease inspired me to be a caregiver. After she passed away 2 years ago, I fall in love in this job and gave up my being a teacher. This job gave me happiness and fullfilment. What I enjoyed most about caregiving is I feel like I am close to my mother. I am inpired by the elders wisdom, and there love stories. I became very close to some as they are my mom or dad. I had undergone lots of training for this job. Going back to school to be a CNA, and hoping to go further. I am a licensed professional educator, but for me to be happy in what you do, and giving happiness to people you are giving service with is one of the best achievement could ever have.

I am a great caregiver because I love caring for the elderly, helping them with the day to day things that they want to do. I am honest, reliable and love helping other people. I became a caregiver by accident, I was asked to take an elderly woman to the store once a week and it turned into 3 days a week and it lasted 8 1/2 years.
