I became a caregiver in order to assist people with activities in daily living and to do things for them that they are unable to do for themselves. I like being a caregiver because it it's it rewarding when you can put a smile on someone else's face. I became a caregiver when my grandmother past away. I always wanted to be a help to others so I decided to take the love and compassion I have within and give it to someone that is ill or need help with their daily living.

As a kid I've always wanted to be a Doctor & or Nurse! My oldest sister passed in 2015 she was also a Certified Nursing Assistant attending school at SLU to become a Registered Nurse(I Have All Her Things Too Still, Like Blood Pressure Cups & Books She Would Being Home An Work/Study Out Of). After My Accident Which Cause Me To Not Be Able To Do Anything Independently For Myself I Couldn't Walk,Eat,Feed My Self, Nor Go To The Bathroom On My Own, I Even Had To Learn How To Be Very Patient An My Accident Shows My Residents/Clients That They Are Not Alone An I Know How They Feel Cause I Can Relate That What Makes Me An Even Greater Caregiver. My Client's Are My Therapy An They Don't Even Know. I Could Have A Bad Day But When I See My Clients All My Worries Go Away An Vise Versa. I Love Everything About Being A CNA ,Learning From Other,& Achieving More Knowledge Is 2 Of The Greatest Gifts Given Us! & Caring For Others Is My #1 Gift.
