Hello my name is Emily Taylor I've been a caregiver for the last 12yrs. Over the years I've gained a lot of experience and established a lifetime of memories while working hand in hand with my clients and their families. I love being a caregiver. Knowing I have the ability to make such a dramatic difference in so many lives just by giving a helpful hand to others in need a very uplifting for me. Many of my greatest accomplishments is when my job is done and it os time for me to move on to help another family is me walking away knowing that I completed one of the most greatest deeds that can be done on earth. To hear clients and families of clients that I have given a helping hand to speak about how grateful and thankful they are for my help. To hear them say that they love and appreciate all that I have done for them and their loved ones. To get a call from a stranger saying hi "previous client" family member gave me your number they highly recommended you to help me with my my loved ones. To have a previous client call me again to help with another family member in need because they love and appreciate the services I provide. This is when I know I am full filling my purpose in life. This is what I enjoy doing this is what I live for. I plan to continue my career in the healthcare industry until I cannot go anymore. Thank You for taking the time to read more about me. I look forward to seeing you soon. :)

I was in the medical field for twenty seven years and worked with the young and seniors. I enjoy working especially with our seniors, because the have so much knowledge and sometimes they just need someone to sit and talk/listen to what they have to say. My personal achievement would be that I was able to raise my son as a single Mom and hold down a full time job. I am a native Charlottean, and have helped take care of loved ones in my family. I lost my Mother five years ago to Alzheimer's, and my Dad passed away 2 years ago from Congestive Heart Failure and Dementia

I am a very dedicated, loving and ,passionate person. I treat my residents as though they were my family. I grew up around care giving, my mother has been a caregiver for 20+ years. I have always loved seeing the satisfaction my mother had from her job which inspired me to follow in her foot steps. There are so many things that make this a rewarding career, my personal favorite is the relationships you build along the way, to sit and talk to someone about their life and give them a friend as well as a helper. The highest achievement, I feel is the satisfaction of the family you are working for, as well as satisfaction of the resident. This is the main goal I strive for in my work

What makes me a great caregiver would have to be my patience, compassion, consideration, empathy, attention to detail and my love for others. I treat others with the same respect that I would want. My mother was diagnosed with a savvier disorder for sleep apnea when I was only 4. 3 yrs later she was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, nerve damage then formed from diabetes as well as sugar issues. 5 months later she was then diagnosed with lupus. She also had a fluid disorder, arthritis, obesity, blood disorder (polycythemia vera), She was never diagnosed but we believed she had formed dementia 1 yr before her death. I took on the responsibility of taking care of her at 17. When I was 18 she had to undergo a thrombectomy (surgery to remove blood clots). She had 1 1/2 gallons removed. When she came home I was her caretaker/caregiver for her surgery recovery. I took her to and from her appointments, helped her bath, fixed her meals, administered her medications and kept up with her medications and ran her errands. I would have to say this as well as the job I worked as a health aid has attracted me to be a great caregiver. I have also dealt with and still deal with epilepsy, My sister and my aunt have grandma seizures, my cousin has pseudoseizures ( not epileptic they are emotion stress induced). What I most enjoy is the one on one bond that you gain from the resident you are caring for. This type of job gives someone a nice sense of respect, It helps one gain more knowledge and helps family's in need of help to get that help. It takes a lot for someone to leave there loved one with a stranger, I gain a sense of respect and honesty to be trusted with this individual. A personal achievement that I am proud of would have to be taking care of my mom as well as being there for my sister, aunt, and cousin. There is a lot of health problems in my family and I am proud that I am the one that is able to help them.

I have been told I am very easy to talk to. I love helping others and have always wanted to work in the health care field. I enjoy being able to help those in need. It makes me proud to know that I may have changed someone's life even if it's just a little. I am constantly praised and thanked for the work that I do and it makes me feel good and let's me know I have chosen the right profession. A personal achievement I am proud of is having my children. They keep me grounded and I love that they see me as an example and are learning to help and love others as I do.

I'm a great Mom....I cared for my mother though her dementia. I began working full time with Alzheimer's and Dementia soon after that. The best sound I hear and actively seek is laughter with joy! I'd would be happy to go back to childcare. I've 9 years of private infant care to 3 year and beyond. Those kids are graduating high school. The best education I'll ever receive is having a little brother that's mentally challenged. He keeps me so positive! I admit I'm a tad jealous of his peace with his world, nothing phases him for long....We have a saying, 'this too shall pass'. Our precious Mom taught us well!
