Hello! My name is Yadira Carrascal and I'm a christian. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver was simply because I genuinely care about the well being of others. I love to speak to my patients and get to know them and care for them. A personal achievement I am proud of would be to graduate as a caregiver. I really enjoy taking care of my patients and treat them as if they were my own family. I always give more than 100% of myself.
For years in my childhood to my early teen years I helped to take care of my grandmother who raised me. Taking care of her has made me more open to doing this as a career. I am looking to get my CNA license in the nearby future and I feel in-home care will be great experience for jobs I may seek to pursue in the future. I believe I am very reliable and trustworthy and always looking to learn new things and meet new people. Several of my family members I grew up around have jobs in health care. For example, I went to work with my aunt in a assisted living facility when I was younger and made friends with the elderly.
I have been a private duty caregiver for 9 years. I have worked in a trauma hospital for 6 years in Illinois, experiencing all departments. I am a compassionate and caring caregiver who is dependable and honest. I have amazing references in this area and because of word of mouth I have been able to incorporate myself into a business. My first and foremost concern is the life of the patient and what I can do to make their life as comfortable and easy as possible .
I've been helping patients both in their homes and in skilled nursing facilities for the last 7 years since becoming a COTA ( Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant ). Given my education and experience in Occupational Therapy, I will provide your loved one with another level of comfort and support. I pride myself on ensuring the home environment is safe and that your loved one is always under my watchful and caring eye. I moved to St. Augustine last summer to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a published illustrator. My first children's book, titled "Noah and Me", by Martha Yemnitz was just published last month! I enjoy helping the elderly just as much as my water color so being able to do both is my cup of tea!

I am happy to help out with the execution of existing physical therapy programs as well as cooking, cleaning and other household tasks as needed. Please contact me if you are interested. I completed a doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine between 2013 and 2018 and I am familiar with all the major diseases and their treatment such as Diabetes, COPD, Asthma, Hypertension, Congestive Heart Failure, etc, but was unable to match into a residency program between 2018 and 2019, so I will be doing home health aide work for the foreseeable future. I may also get a CNA degree. Kind regards, Foster Lerner, HHA
I have experience in personal care, housekeeping and respite. I have worked with people 70 to 96 years old. I assist them to take a shower, get dressed, with transfering to a wheelchear. I have experience with patient lift. I cook for them. We walk together from time to time. I drive them to doctors' appointments and to the grocery stores for shopping. I always do my maximum. I am very happy to help people.
I am a great care giver because I am compassionate and empathetic. I imagine myself being in their shoes one day. I'm a person that hates to ask for help so I want to anticipate their needs, eagerly offering suggestions. I unselfishly dedicate myself to give the best patient care I can to each and every individual case. I became a caregiver because my great-grandparents were sent to nursing home when I was a teenager to recuperate after a car accident. My great-grandfather never left that home. He quickly deteriorated due to insufficient care. The lack of care or concern coupled with the biggest bed sore in just a matter of weeks stays in my mind to this day. This is where my journey in patient care began. I became a candy striper and volunteered in hospitals and nursing homes. I like being a caregiver because I have an enormous heart and an abundance of patience. I never tire of the same story being repeated. I am interested in what my patients are thinking and want to hear their opinions. I strive to make patients comfortable and at ease with me. I am helpful and kind no matter what the mood of the day is. I welcome the good days as well as the bad days. Being dependable is crucial to offering patients a happy and safe life and I take that responsibility seriously. I want my clients to live with their dignity intact. I will be respectful to your home and have no objections to video's or Nanny cams. Please feel free to protect your loved ones. My proudest achievement is my son Victor. Alone, relying on hard work and being independent I was able to avoid public assistance. I am very proud of that, it was tough, but we made it. July 18, 2011 My son and I were baptized together. My last case before I relocated back to Florida lasted three years. I felt a great sense of pride when I left knowing that I made a big impact in her recovery. I know she was able to reclaim her independence.
i am a 47 year old married woman. i have 2 minor children at home. i choose this field after 8 years of owning my own childcare because of family reasons. my husband was diagnosed with diabetes and my mother with early dementia. i was looking to just get the education to be able to take of my family when the time comes, but soon found out my wanting to take care of people was soley in my heart. i currently work in the field of hha and glad to say longer than i anticipated. i learned that the more i gave when taking care of others made me offer so much more of myself and willing. i feel complete and not at work when working with my clients but mostly at home and you know the saying "home is where your heart is"....... and my home is working as a hha.
1) Because I love caring for our elderly 2) I love everything about being a caregiver 3) I've never had 1 client ever lodge any kind of complaint against me with any company I've ever worked for. The first Home Health Care Company I worked for chose me as employee of the year within my first 6 months of employment. 4) I don't think of what I do as a job, it's my passion in life.
