My name is Alexis Glenn. I am very passionate about things that I do and people around me. I became interested in being a caregiver after my grandmother became sick and I started to care for her. I felt that since she did so much for me, making her comfortable & her day to day needs easier was the least I could do for her. My name is Rhoda and I'm from Coralville, Iowa. I am currently a third year psychology major at FAMU and I love working in patient care. I believe that I would be a good fit for any caregiving positions because I have some previous experience such as basic life support training and nurse aide certification. I am currently certified to give first aid, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and use the automated external defibrillator, and I plan to stay certified. I am very passionate about working in the medical field and I have started to take important steps that will familiarize me with this career field. I possess great communication, team-working, and time management skills. I have discipline myself to take initiative, lead by example, and keep a professional bearing. I am willing to work with any and everyone that needs a little extra helping hand.

Because I'm into the person not only into my work, I really love being creative meaning always finding was to use arts ,crafts, puzzles plus I'm alert concerning the needs of the person I'm a great listener I always remember this saying treat people the way you would like to be treated and it will come back to you. I enjoy having conversation with different people because I'm very teachable plus I've been told I'm the best caregiver the company had this isn't just a job for me its relationships being build with the individuals that I meet I haven't met a client that was dissatisfied with my work yet and I've been doing this for while and I love it. Yes you have challenging clients but the first this I would say is that I'm sorry that your feeling this way today what can we do to make this a better day and if this doesn't work I'll get a book of there choice or a puzzle I will try all I know to get though until something work I'm a person that study peoples action, body language and moods so I will know when something isn't right things I've achieved is knowing that I give my all in taking care of a life that is entrusted in my hands and I don't take that for granted you never know someone might have to take care of me. In closing I will always be the best at what I do and that's giving the best care to the client that they need.

Im a great caregiver because I have 2 beautiful daughters and always trusted that they were in great care when they were small and I worked. I also cared for my mom when her health failed. So from caring for them and making sure they had great caregivers makes me know that whomever needed a caregiver would want someone that has a caring heart for people and would treat them as you want to be treated also their love ones. In 1986 I furthered my education in the healthcare field and from then until for I've been working as a Certified Nurse Asst., Home health aid Private Duty Caregiver. I currently operates an Adult Family Care Home were I have live-in Mental impaired residents of whom I've cared for for many years, I also work with Developmental Clients, Alzheimer's Residents too. I love caring for the elderly, Mental, and disabled persons that need help with ADL and that are unable to provide services for themselves. I don't single anyone out or label them I treat them as family and as they are just as you and I HUMAN I see myself not being able to care for myself and often feels that I could be in the same position and would want someone who cares about me and my needs and have the heart to help in areas that I m in need of. So from 1980 until now my heart still goes out to those in need of CARE.
