Been the employee of the month both in 2013 and 2014. I am a Mother of two. I Love to look out and care for everyone even those not related too. I love to be around people and making them smile.
I love taking care of the elderly, when someone reach a stage in their life where they unable to fully take care of themselves. I want to be there to help so they can still feel a sense of independence and respect. I have many years experience working with the elderly, and I have to say I love it. I leave the nursing home because I will like to do personal care. One on one .
I am very respectful, patient and kind, regardless of my patient's ability. I have the ability to emphasize, and im able to ease their frustration or discomfort which will help my patient let me in and share concerns with me. I tend to be very patient and flexible. I understands the challenges of caring for others and and I'm truly in it because I truly care about helping others.. I arrive on time and ready to work.
I believe what makes me a Great Caregiver is that I am responsible, very reliable, hardworking caring person who has almost two years experience working in this field. I previously cared for three clients two of which were wheelchair bound and so I have used different lifts . I worked 16 hours over night shifts so I spent most of my time at my clients home where I did a number of household activities that provided stimulation and learning everyday life. I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping others and making a difference in someone else's day and life. One of my personal achievements in this field are I helped one of my clients who was socially afraid and didn't like meeting new people. We worked together in conquering his fear of new people by getting out around the neighborhood going to the park where he met some neighbors of his.
I'm an outgoing girl individual who finds fun and creative ways to interact with patients who might not register what is happening around them. I have a medical degree as a Surgical Technician, I enjoy making people smile and to enjoy life even if they have mental problems or a disease that makes them unaware of their surroundings. I have been an employee of the month 2 times for my outstanding work. I'm both CPR and First Aid certified
I have been caregiving for 10 years since my father was diagnosed with Early-on-set Alzheimer's in 2009. Since, I have become a PCA (personal care assistant) and provided care for many families privately as well as through and agency. I have had a couple of long term clients that I had the pleasure of building a wonderful relationship with. I understand that caring for someone can take a toll on family members and want to provide some relief.I enjoy being able to give a family peace of mind that their loved one is well cared for in the event that they are unable to be there all the time. The type of care I provide has ranged from companionship care - errands, tasks around the home, meal preparation, conversation - to personal care - assisting with hygiene, dressing, toileting.

I am a mother of 3 and love to care for anyone who's in need of care. My grandmother have Alzheimer's and I love sitting with her, cooking for her, grocery shopping for her and taking care of her home. I also have a friend who's grandmother is legally blind in both eyes and from time to time ill go check on her, clean her home and cook for her. I do understand that when ppl get up in age they barely ask for help and don't feel like they need anyone so that's why I come off sweet as possible and still get the job done anyway.
