1. My mother was diagnosed with MS, it was very painful watching her lose her independent, a woman full of wisdom and strength. She lived with it for 10 years and i was with her through out her ill period taking care of her. It wasn't easy for her but being there for her was a big healing on it own and it gave me joy being there for her and making sure she was comfortable at all times. After my mother went to be with the lord, i pledged to get trained professional, in other to help others that may need my help. 2. The interaction and being able to know that at the end of the day that i am able to help and save ones life. 3. I went to University and graduated with Bachelor degree in Healthcare Management and minor in Business Admin. 4. I am humble, energetic,loving, caring, motivator, listener, God fearing and i have passion in what i do.
I have a history of 30 years as a caregiver. I started as a Home Health Aide in Hospice with 2 companies for 7 years. American Hospice and Central Hospice, due to a back injury I left the company and started private duty from the recommendation of one of my Hospice nurses. A month after starting with Hospice that I hadn't ever heard of at the time, I felt I had found my calling in life. I'm a great Caregiver because I treat my patients as my own family, I show respect to the family and their needs and try to recommend the best scenario for the family needs. 98% of my private jobs has been from past families. My very first family of over 20 years ago I'm still in touch with. I having had two clients on the LVAC heart machine. Cooking, laundry and light housekeeping. Errands, grocery shopping and Dr. Appts. I have reliable transportation. References avaible upon request.
I became a caregiver because i like working with people and making a difference to their lives. I am a good listener and believes that good communication with my co workers and the family member is the key to success.I respect my work and likes to make people feel happy with my services. I am easily adjustable to a new environment and willing to learn more new skills. I am hard working and do not like being late to work and i have cared for the seniors mostly for 9 years and i feel that i have full experience to work as a caregiver.

I was caregiver for my dad for ten years he needed me to care for his daily needs. After his second brain surgery that he lost his long term memory. I couldn't mind since my dad cared for me when I was a baby to teen-years. So I couldn't turn my back on him. Plus as a nurse assistance it is my job to care for the client in their time of need. That I gave my dad the best care as a parent would give to a child. I am the mother of two grown children a son and a daughter and my son-In-law and two grandchildren Autumn and Gabriel. I am graduate from Brown Mackie College from Atlanta for medical assistance for one year program. I am have certificate nurse assistance for 20 years in nursing home, senior care home and ten years of caregiver experience. I am the type of person that I care about others well being to get better to their old self again. I believe that what I am doing will make them well again or feel better while I'm care for your love one. I am the kind of person that is down to earth, out going, caring, warm hearted, and silly person that wear my heart on my sleeves. I became a caregiver because my grandmother had cancer and I wanted to learn how to take care of her, she was a survivor for 40 year, I admired how the nurses and the patient care techs took care of her. So I wanted to give back. The best thing I love about this job is seeing the transformation of ones being. It brings joy to my heart to see someone smile and laugh. I have a private duty case now and the daughter said her mother is so happy now and enjoy when I come a take care of her that is a personal achievement especially when you are taking care of someones mother. My name is Lisa Council I am 49 years old but I look every bit of 29, I am outgoing and love to have fun with my residents, they are such a joy. I have no children, but I am married. I am also a licensed cosmetologist and medical assistance, so I do spoil my residents. I pamper them male and female.I have been to college haven't received my degree yet but I am working on it. I presently work at Piedmont Newnan Hospital on the Orthopedic floor.I reside in Palmetto Ga. I am looking for that one on one care instead of 18 patients as a load, It pays well but I am not getting the satisfaction of what my purpose is for doing direct patient care. That is why I choose to do Private Duty.
I am a very empathetic and passionate person when it comes to taking care of others. I love my job as a nurse, but just need some extra hours. I enjoy keeping my patients company and also helping with daily activities. I also am willing to stay overnight. I have an 11 year old son, but he can stay with my parents any time that I am working.
