I became a caregiver because I love taking care of people, it gives me a pleasure to see that I can help people who can't help themselves. My personal achievement that I'm proud of is that I was able to be a caregiver for my mom who had brain cancer but passed last June due to her illness,and still worked as a c.n.a in geriatrics.

I am one of the most empathetic caregivers you will meet. I first became a caregiver in 2002 as an STNA with extensive training. I enjoy being able to help with ADLs , but still allowing the client/resident/patient to be as independent as possible. I enjoy helping to increase client's/resident's/patient's will to live. I will/have alway respect the client's/resident's/patient's rights and adhere to all HIPPA laws. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is the time I changed a resident's entire temperament towards the staff by simply showing him that I actually care. He was a combative dementia patient. Being a hair stylist, I would cut his hair and line him up. The constant compliments received from the staff and residents boosted his confidence and definitely increased his will to live. Although, that was many years ago the thought of it still warms my heart.

A personal trait that would help me in this job was that I used to take care of my 78 year old grandmother use the bathroom, wash and do her hair, take her food, helping her get ready for doctors appointments, and also helping her walk around and make sure she takes her medicine everyday. What attracted me to this job just to see how lovely and sweet and funny older people can be and sometimes I makes me think about my grandmother he recently passed away from covid. I mostly care is to make sure they are treat nice and make them smile. One of my personal achievement I'm proud is finishing up college.

My trait in care giving can from having a mother how had muscle dystrophy and a daughter who has CP too and I have been taking care of people all my life and I love it so much and I do a good job too not one complaint

Hi my name is Linda, I've been working as a CNA/HHA for over 20+ years. I'm a people person, what that means is I don't meet strangers. I love to get to know about the clients and their interest. I love to laugh and be happy and see smiling faces. One of my proudest moments was when I was able to return to college and obtain a degree after raising my four children.

I went into healthcare right out of high school and have been in the field since. I love providing care for all ages. Its my passion. I'm currently in school to continue my education in nursing. I volunteer at my local animal control. I am very passionate about animal care and protecting them from abuse. I current foster animals to get them ready for their furever home.
