I am a very humble and compassionate individual who take pleasure in caring for someone who needs assistant. Whether it be the client or the family member. I am hardworking and fulfills the needs clients directions. My passion to become a caregiver started over 24 years ago. My grandfather was diagnosed with prostate cancer and he was unable to care for himself. At that time I stepped in and took over his care because I couldn't imagine him going through that. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the love and help I give and receive from my clients. One of my personal achievement I am proud of is starting that I am on my way to opening a Home Care for people seeking help.
24 years ago someone introduce me to this profession and I loved it. Enjoy working with elderly or anybody in need. I love to interact with the person and help them in all possible ways. I feel compassion and respect for them. I have helped so many people in need of someone in personal care or emotional and when I see a person's face with happiness and gratefulness, I feel that I have accomplished what I was there for. I am a CNA since 1991, worked in nursing homes about 121/2 years, 2 years in Assisted Living and 101/2 in a Hospital environment. In all those years I did a lot of private duty jobs at patient's homes and also worked with agencies as a caregiver also at their homes. I am 48 yrs old, married and recently relocated from NJ,
I am a Patience person who can provide home care to others inneed. Being patient means that the person understands that there may be changes in plans, things may not go as quickly as planned, and there may be a little hesitation at times on the part of the person receiving care. I have Compassion and have an understanding of what the person is going through. I am Attentive which is very important when am providing care that care this will help me notice when there are emotional or physical changes in the person he or she is caring for. I am aTrustworthiness and Dependable carer. Those who need home care don't usually just need it sporadically. Rather it is on a regular basis, so it is imperative that i am dependable and show up to provide the care that the person needs and is counting on.
The reason why I enjoy being a PCA (caregiver) is because I consider myself to be very compassionate , caring - hard worker. I love caring for people of all ages because it warms my heart. I am a Paraprofessional full time for the Dekalb County School System, working with individuals with disabilities and I LOVE IT. My personal achievement I am very proud of is when I assisted a patient to change her diet and start exercising. A few months later, she noticed a difference in how she felt and her health improved to the point she was able to get off of two of her medications.
I'm a warm nuturing individual, with alot of patience and understanding. Growing up I was able to care for children and edlerly and individuals with mental disabilities. I love providing great care and a comfortable safe haven for others and there needs. No one is ever treated with disrespect and I care deeply for others. The best part is simply being a friend to those with needs. Seeing others happy and smiling especially on hard days. I have a gift with others in my care I have not ever had an individual in my care who has not liked me. I take great pride in my work!
I have a heart for the elderly. Lived with my Grandmother growing up, and as I got older, so did she. To where I took care of her. And I honestly loved it, and grew a love for it there. Being able to take care of the woman that raised and took care of me! And it's something love to do now, and forever will
I have 12 years experience in the healthcare industry. I have strong leadership and interpersonal skills and I am able to respond quickly to emergency situations. I have been responsible for several private in home care patients and found my passion in providing quality care, while serving and bonding with my patients.
I became a caregiver after working with a senior that had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and discovered that I loved working with the elderly. I went to school while working because I learned I didn't have any knowledge for taking care of my client. I love being g with my elderly clients they have loving stories and make wonderful companions. I am very proud of all that I have learned from my clients.
