I am a respectful, compassion, honest, and caring person. I wanted to do something for someone else's besides myself. Plus, I took care of my grandparents and worked full time. So I know both ends of the job; being the caregiver, as well as, the family member and then the caregiver. I have a lot of knowledge with caregiving. I enjoy the patients the most and being able to bring joy to them. My qualifications are medicine reminders, bathing, helping with grooming, shopping, cooking, light housekeeping, companionship, etc..
Hello families! My name is Kaitlyn, but I prefer Katie. I'm 28 years old living in Phenix City, Alabama. I've been in the Customer Service/ Hospitality/ Caregiving field for 10 years! It all started when I was 17 years old. I had an Aunt who was diagnosed with brain cancer. She was put into an assisted living facility and I got a job in food service so I could spend as much time with her as I could. Even though I was in dietary, I was her personal caregiver on my off time. I was with her until she went to heaven, and I don't regret one second of it. I learned so much from her that I fell in love and found my calling in life. I LOVE THIS CAREER! It's a good feeling being able to help those who can no longer do it themselves. Families usually get a caregiver because everyone works, and can't spend all that time missing work. That's why you need someone you can trust, and know your family member is safe and happy! I'm currently going to get my nursing degree, so I can do more for my community. One of the big reasons I think I have thrived as a caregiver is because I'm a very outgoing and caring person. I care about everyone else and make sure they are happy. I put them before myself. I'm always smiling and laughing, which makes my patients happy. I'm a very open person as well, which makes it easier to talk to families! Some of my strengths are time management, I'm a hard worker, I'm always up for a challenge, and I'm always willing to learn a new skill or try something new, and PATIENCE! Patience is a key strength in this career field. I have experience with Alzheimer's/ Demntia, Diabetes, Colostomy/ Catheters changes, amputees, mental illness, cancer, and TBI injuries. I also have references upon request. Anything else you'd like to know, don't be afraid to ask! Attention families: My background has been posted. Any other questions or concerns, don't hesitate to ask!
What makes me a great caregiver I always seek the best needs for the clients. I'm passionate about my work. I'm loving, compassionate, and caring. I do the best I can to make the client feel comfortable. I always wanted to be a caregiver, mainly because my mother inspired me so much. She was a caregiver (nurse) for a long time. When she became I'll I became her caregiver and gave her all the comfort, love, and nourishment she always gave to her clients and others.
I am a very caring and outgoing caregiver i have been working in this field since 2007 for the past 2 years ive been working private duty because i love being able to give my individual one on one companionship i love hearing past experiences of my clients and doing things they once loved to do such as cooking park walks library visits etc.
I am a great caregiver because I truly do love to help in any way I can and always have put natural caring attention in all I do. I have worked in a variety of settings, allowing diversity and adaptability in any situation, but it is in Home Health that I feel my caring nature can not only shine but is also most appreciated. I enjoy making connections with individuals where we mutually appreciate each other's presence in our lives while improving our lives, happiness, independence and overall health by sharing in it together. I truly love to see positive improvement in others from my assisting care! A personal achievement I am most proud of is my pursuit of assisting others in healthcare, because I truly feel I have finally found my purpose in life helping others in this way.
I became a caregiver by nature. My mother died when I was 10 and I became the caregiver of my 7 siblings. Also, several members of my family have become ill and I have had to care for them as well. My husband, whom has died, live with Huntington disease for several years. I was his caregiver. When my brother had a stroke, he didn't trust anyone else so I cared for him until he was able to maintain on his own. My son, developed heart failure. I immediately stepped in and took total care of him. Through my diligence, he is now a new man; maintaining his heart condition with enjoyable life! I enjoy caring for others because it gives me a satisfaction to know they are going to receive the best of care, because I will always give my best. It is the way I would want to be treated with love and respect.
Enjoy the work as a Caregiver by giving the best healthcare and service. Treat others the way I would like to be treated. Assisted several families over the past 10 years. Retired Teacher and last assignment in 2012 at West Georgia Technical College in GED AND LEARNING SUPPORT Lagrange, GA. I work part-time for Cracker Barrel in Retail Sales.
Hi, My name is Skylar Davis and I am 19 years old and I would be pleased to be apart of your CareLinx team because I love to work with seniors and feel that they should be loved and for them to feel like they still have a family no elderly person should be mistreated or not feel loved and feel like they don't have a family because it hurts my heart to see people send there family members to and old folks home no family member should have to suffer or go through things so I would be glad to take great care of them and make sure they feel loved.
