After a massive Corporate downsizing, I have changed careers and turned to the Healthcare field. I have over 30 years experience taking care of family and clients, ranging from neonatal, special needs including quadriplegia, to hospice care. The last 20 years have also included dementia/stroke, oxygen, TPN, feeding tubes and post operative care. In addition, I have also been asked by 2 clients to become their personal assistant. This included travel to the grocery store, doctor appointments, downsizing homes, moving packing and unpacking, traveling across country and also property managed my clients home while it was on the market to sell. How can I be of help to you?

Am Victoria by name. Am a mother of 3 wonderful children. Happily married. Am an African from Nigeria to be precise. I have been a caregiver for 7 yrs, and in college, hoping to be a Registered nurse. I am a positive person that just loves happiness, and, always wants people around me to be happy no matter what they are going through. I love dancing and singing a lot. Am open to corrections because I believe it helps in modifying somethings unknown to me. I have cared for seniors all my life. I love them so much. Yeah we all can ever be the same but I have been given the grace to be able to handle and work with some seniors that are a bit difficult, but at the end of it all, we all became friends and family. Am a very emotional person that feels whatever my clients are feeling also., and just love to be sure that, my clients are ok anytime any day! Caring has been my passion since I was little as my parents told me. I love my job as a caregiver simply because it's my passion to care!!! I have many seniors that are still alive but still want me to care for them just because of our relationship, but because of my schooling, and areas they are,won't just allow me to do that, but I still connect with them on phones. Taking care of seniors is a privilege for me because it makes me remember that, one day, am gonna be like them and this makes me want to care for them, better than anyone! Being a senior isn't a sin but a blessing!!! The most reason why all seniors need a good caregiver like me!

I am a newly Registered Nurse who has solid communication skills for a variety of patients. I am extremely flexible, express empathy, compassion and attention to detail in many different situations. I have four years of CNA experience, CPR certified and PEARS certified (pediatric life support). I was attracted to being a caregiver after caring for my own family members and felt the need to help more people in my community. I finished my schooling in Peoria IL, at Methodist College and completed my internship in the ICU at Methodist Hospital.

It might sound cliche, but I feel as though God put me on this Earth to help others. I originally wanted to be a psychologist, but I knew I would worry about my patients too much. My next best option? Nursing. Becoming a CNA is one of the first steps I'm taking towards becoming a nurse. I'm very enthusiastic about my future career, and I'm currently attending Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, Illinois. I'm planning to further my education to a Master's- possibly a doctorate's degree. I hope to one day become part of the Mercy Ships or Doctors Without Borders. The goal may be a stretch, but I am willing to work hard to get there.

Alittle about me: I love people! Currently, I work and live with teens in a home setting. Most of my work history is with elderly or with adults with disabilities. My greatest quality that helps me be an amazing caregiver is my patience and my love for elderly people. God has gifted me with a talent of taking care of those in need. My main reason to become a Social Work was to help people in need. My next chapter in my life is to get my Masters in Social Work with specializing in geriatric's and childcare. Both these areas of study are my passion,and love which I am equally invested. My most favorite memory of caregiving was taking care of my own mom while she walked through cancer and treatment until she passed away. That experience has taught me their are so many stories just like my mom's but walk through it alone. I am very confident that you will be blessed to choose me to take care of your young or elderly.
