I became a caregiver because I love to help people. I have been an LPN for almost 24 years, started working as an aide at 18 years of age, I am 53yrs old. have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. Nursing care is the only job I have ever done.

What makes me a great caregiver is my passion in being able to be a part of the elderly staying in their homes if thats what they want, instead of a nursing facility. Sometimes that isn't always easy for the families to accomdate that request and that's where i come in, to help make that possible. I love being outside as well, in some instances i have been able to do certain activities with some of my clients ive had, that they may wouldn't have been able to do otherwise. Ive worked with clients having different situations from just needing compaionship and doing activities, to more of needing personal care, all the way to hospice care. I am a very good listener. I have a positive attitude and enjoy talking with the elderly. I have worked in nursing homes and love seeing the elderly every day and watching them accomplish stuff. I currently work with guys with disabilities like down syndrome, autism, and mental retardation. It is can be challenging but very rewarding

Hi. My name is Marlo I have worked in healthcare for 25 years. Most of my experience has been in assisted living facilities where I earned my level 1 medication insulin certification. I have taken care of many elderly people and loved every min. of it. I feel honored to have spent the last years of their lives with so many. I have also been an elementary school teacher for 25 years. This has given me lots of patience and experience working with all people.

My grandfather had cancer and there was no one there to help my grandma. I love the smiles I and stories I get to hear from them. I have went to collage still in collage and with my experience's I have grown personally to be a better and more giving person. I have letters of thanks that I am very proud of from past clients.
