My interest in caregiving first began when my grandparents became sick and I had felt after their passing I wanted to do something to help other people in their honor. I have worked in many settings of healthcare including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted livings and those with memory care. I also specialize in those who have suffered from strokes, heart attacks, TBIs and various other medical conditions. I am also working part time to go for a degree in occupational therapy. I currently live in Jacksonville with my husband who is in the marines, our son and two dogs. It always been my passion to serve and help others in the community as well as military veterans. I believe the traits that help you achieve being a great caregiver are always being kind and compassionate, understanding, and do everything with care. I was attracted to being a caregiver at a young age, I've always loved to help people and when my grandmother got sick I was always there to help. It's just an instinct I've always had. The things I enjoy most about caregiving is the love that comes from it, regardless if the day went by smooth or if it was a bumpy one you can always go home knowing you helped someone else out. One of the main achievements for me at this point in my life is just that I make it home at night and wake up the next morning. Tomorrow isn't promised so just being here is an achievement.
