As I moved to take care of him and great forever memories I have now I decided then to use my experience to take care Of elderly and children in their homes so they never have to leave their families And fully vaccinated. Hello! My name is Charlie LaShea Hudnall. I've always been drawn to caring for people. I'm from a small town in Louisiana where I started volunteering at nursing homes I fell in love with it from the beginning. I love seeing the beauty in the world and caregiving helps me to do that. I am very patient and understanding. I have great communication skills and am skilled in caring for individuals with behavioral/neurological problems. I have experience in managing households as well as personal caregiving. I'm also cpr certified and I am a certified direct support professional (DSP). I am a caring and loving person who enjoys helping others. I have been in the healthcare field for 10 years and am currently pursuing my RN BSN. I was a wellness assistant at an assisted living residence where I became attracted to being a caregiver. I then became a Rehab Tech at an LTACH which further secured my desire to care for others. I most enjoy the relationship and trust I develop with the clients. My most proud achievement was assisting the therapist with treatment of a TBI patient and seeing all the hard work we endured pay off with the patient walking in the doors of our faculty when the level was dependent upon arrival to the hospital.

I have been told that I am a great encourager. With being a caregiver, sometimes, all it takes is a little encouragement, to go a long way. My attraction to wanting to become a caregiver, goes way back to when I was 9 years old. I was adopted by older parents (58 and 63). As I grew older, at age 12, I became interested in visiting an elderly neighbor. I would ride my bike to her house just because of her cool stories of her childhood, (and she provided cookies.) Little did I know, that my attraction to being a caregiver was already in the making of who I was meant to be as an adult. She even sent me a card in the mail and it stated I was her "favorite person." That meant SO MUCH to me! The only thing I can think of about something I'm proud of achieving would be when I worked in Customer Care at a gym, and the owners gave me a "Loving People Award." Other than that, just the simple fact that my two children have grown up to become upstanding, fine adults and are parents, themselves. So watching them figure things out as adults, makes me feel so proud of them.

I have over 15 years work experiences around caregiver I'm still working as house manager, healthcare coordinator, and care giver taking care of clients by taking care of the medication, housekeeping, food preparation etc

I have a passion for putting others first and it is the most rewarding thing a person can do but the reward is not the motivator behind my choice to be a care giver, I enjoy what I do. what I like about caregiving is the fact that am able to provide care for my client and the smile on their faces shows satisfaction. I like to put 100% on my job and at the same time sense of humor, laughter means so much to me.
