My very first actual job was a CNA and I knew right away that it was the profession for me! I've always tried being the very best at treating others how it'd like to be treated! I look at each and every person I've ever cared for as if they were my own family and still keep in touch with many of them. I have worked as a CNA-HHA for over 20 years, first through various agencies and then on my own as a private duty caregiver until I started my own home care agency. I worked well with mostly the elderly and Alzheimer and dementia patients. The benefits I receive from caregiving are numerous. I truly enjoy helping people and feeling needed and appreciated by them. I enjoy interacting with the families and working together to develop care plans and meet challenges associated with the job.
