What had brought me into like being a caregiver was my grandpa. He has dementia and needs lots of help, so helping him out and talking to him and doing things with him has been amazing and is what I wanted to do. I have been a caregiver for 4 years and being around different people and getting to know them are really what I love to do.

Throughout my career I have taken every opportunity to learn how to comfort and calm the uncertainty they live with on a daily basis. I can offer activities and exercises to set their mind at ease and give them something positive to focus on. I will gladly help keep things tidy, prepare yummy meals, help with bathing/dressing, ambulation, medication reminders and more and can discuss a care plan that works best for your family.

I never meet a stranger. I love meeting new people and I love helping people and help them with being as independent as possible. I am attracted to being a great caregiver because my grandma was a wonderful person and I loved taking care of her. I enjoy being a caregiver because it is a rewarding career. My personal achievement I am proud of is finishing graduate school with a master's degree in psychology that I can use to help others.
