I chose to be a caregiver after taking care of my Great Aunt I love the fact that she knew she had someone she could depend on and care for her and that's what I want to provide to others. I'm a mom of 4, just trying to get back on my feet after a very abusive relationship. My grandmother was always a caregiver as I was a preteen and teenager, and I loved getting to go with her to help. One of her clients, Mrs. Cox, was literally like another grandmother to me, I still miss her today. I just figured if I enjoyed helping my grandma do this job so much when I was younger, surely I'd enjoy it just as much as an adult. And the feeling of helping people in their day to day life sounds amazing to me!

I am a happily married mother of 5. I take great pride in taking care of my patients, that's why I have great references. I genuinely enjoy being a caregiver. It all started back with my aunt being disabled. As a child seeing her struggles made me want to better her without making her feel bad like others did... I feel it is my calling to be a caregiver.

I became a nurse after I had my child. I have 15 years of experience as a nurse and I'm CPR certified. I've been a nurse since 2000. I started by working in the hospital and moved into private duty nursing. I've taken care of people of all ages from preemies to hospice, from mental disabilities to physical ones. I love what I do. I'll admit I get car sick so riding around isn't a good idea for me but as long as I'm driving I'm good. I do clean while I'm working. Taking out trash, doing dishes that were used, laundry, and any other messes that may come up. I'm not someone that is always on my phone and I like to interact with the people I work with. I'm a great listener and a fast learner. I love working with and learning about new people. At the moment I have a vehicle from 9am until 9pm. I've alway been told that I'm a people person and can get along with anyone. And I really hope that I will get that chance. My rate is negotiable depending on care.

I feel caregiving/cna is my true calling. I enjoy helping clients with activities of daily living whom can't do for themselves. I enjoy learning about the lives my clients have lived and their families. When I have a client whom has Alzheimers or Dementia, I enjoy stepping into their world.

Caring for many family members throughout cancer treatments, strokes, and hospice made me realize that I want to be the caring, patient, and loving caregiver for others as well! I believe everyday is what you make of IT, and our loved ones need to do the same through conversation, a popsicle outside on a hot day, over a great meal, fun games, or simple conversation.

I am a hard worker and like to help people and see them smile. I am dedicated and have faith that if I can help at least one person then I am doing okay. I believe in showing respect and achieving my goals and showing others it doesn't matter about what we have done it's what we can do to improve in the future.
