I took care of my father, in our home, for over 8 years before he passed away on Mother's day 2019. I managed his medication, cleaned the house, made his meals, washed his clothes, helped dress and gave him baths. I assisted him in walking and eating. I delt with insurance companies and doctors offices. I took him to and from the doctor. Changed bandages and just sat and talked to him. I now take care of my mother, in almost the same way. I love to help people and make them feel better in any way that I can. Taking the stress off the person and their families is a way, I feel like, I can make that happen. I have learned a lot (hands-on) and a personal achievement I'm proud of, is learning how to pull community resources to assist the families I help.

I have 34 years of Emergency Medical and patient care experience. I also have experience as a Director of a private Home Health Care Division where I ensured client schedules and home care needs were efficiently met. Lastly, I had a client that was put in Hospice Care and was given 3 days to live. After 1 month of starting the assignment, my client graduated from Hospice, and his family is very happy.

My expertise of caregiving is being a companion and just learning upon the unique description of the patient. Dementia and Alzheimer's are my specialty, i was once attracted to be a caregiver simply for the fact returning the helping hand to our elders. I enjoy being a caregiver, because it brings out the best of me seeing others be in a place of ease, for them to have someone to trust and rely on to be safe. I am proud of leaving a family at the end of the day, and knowing i gave them a sense of relief by helping their loved one!
