I have more than 13 years of experience working (full time) with individuals with developmental disabilities. In group, private residential, community, and classroom settings. Also in transportation. I have been told that my compassion towards them is extremely apparent. I am there for the individuals 100%. For their health and well-being but also for their quality of life. I also believe that promoting as much independence as one can have. When I have worked one-to-one or in someone's home that was where I felt I could make the most difference. I have worked in medically intensive houses as well as behavior intensive. I also worked for NYSOPWDD and am required to pass an extensive background check, which I have. I love what I do and have never been told anything other than I do it well. My heart is full when I'm caring for people. I get out of it what I put into it, if not more so. If I can make someone in my care smile, laugh or feel comfort, I feel like my day was a successful one!

I earned my CNA when I was 18 and my passion for helping others grew. I learned hands on and specialized in Alzheimer's care and dementia; furthered my nursing education to become a clinical medical technician and worked in a hospital setting, taking great pride and compassion for families and their loved ones.
