I have worked with doctors and agencies to get care that is needed. My patients become family and I take care of them as such. I have worked with loved ones that have Alzheimer's, Dementia, ALS, and everything in between. I am very good at my job and I do very much take a lot of stress off the family members. I I am very good at my job and care deeply for the people I take care and treat them as I would my own. I have always made sure I am worth what I make. I've always had a soft spot for seniors and wanted to make a difference in their lives. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. I take pride in my attention to detail. One of my greatest achievements is doing a 15 week nursing contract away from my family a lot.

I was born in the family of health professionals. Often times I watched my Mum treat people who were ill and those with wounds. I learned to exercise patience with a patient and to treat them with love and care. I once took care of a 90 year old man and the family were happy as their father sounded happier each passing day. I love meeting new people that's what interests me most about this job.

For years in my childhood to my early teen years I helped to take care of my grandmother who raised me. Taking care of her has made me more open to doing this as a career. I am looking to get my CNA license in the nearby future and I feel in-home care will be great experience for jobs I may seek to pursue in the future. I believe I am very reliable and trustworthy and always looking to learn new things and meet new people. Several of my family members I grew up around have jobs in health care. For example, I went to work with my aunt in a assisted living facility when I was younger and made friends with the elderly.

I have been a caregiver for a little over 20 years. While I was a senior in high school I received my GNA certification. I have worked in Nursing homes, hospitals and I have also owned and operated a small home health care business. I've always had a soft spot for the elderly and I enjoy brightening their day and making their day just a little bit easier for them. I am also a licensed senior cosmetologist, so I can also take care of some personal grooming for the ladies and gentleman!

From experience of being a GNA, I prefer tending to one client and building a relationship. I gain fulfillment from helping others and have realized from experience that being a home health aid is satisfying.
