The reason why I became a caregiver because I love providing home care-giving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. What I like about being a caregiver is the smile on their faces and my personal achievements that I'm proud of is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. One of my favorite experiences being a caregiver are the families that I meet and become close with. They become family to me too. I took care of my husband who passed after 19 years of cancer, my grandparents , who both suffered from Alzheimer's. Spent numerous years working in a rest home & for private clients in their home. Here I've learned many skills for many areas where disease affects family. If you choose me to be a part of your care team I'm confident I can complete any task asked of me. 7 years ago I started out by being a caregiver for my grandmother. She had a stroke and needed help getting around the house. Since then I've been working with others to help make their living easy. I've worked with people who have dementia. I enjoy helping others out . Especially to the ones who really need it. I worked at a memory care and assisting living facility for 6 years. I'm now looking for one on one care . I hope I can make you and your loves one life easier. I work full time but I'm free early mornings. Looking for a minimum of 15 hrs a week.Katy area ONLY.

Being a caregiver is not only a pleasure, but it is heartwarming to know that I can be a part of someone's life and make a difference. Growing up I was a little girl who loved being by my grandma's size, whether she was sick or well.She was my pride and joy and I was hers'. After she passed away I knew I wanted to continue making elderly people happy and enjoy life. I am a firm believer that life gets better with time.

Well what I will enjoy about working as a caregiver is getting to know the person and learning how to assist with with everyday tasks Also being there to listen and giving them time for conversation and social needs.

I've been her right hand woman for many years and my responsibilities evolved from home assistance to recreational activity companion after I got my DL.
