Compassionate caregiver who knows how to keep a level head during emergencies. Able to provide a number of services to patients to make them feel comfortable and safe at all times. Possess certification in first aid techniques as well as CPR certified. Caring for my grandma inspired me to become a caregiver. I cared for her for years, and through that experience, I learned that I'm passionate about helping people and improving the daily lives of those in need of care. Supporting my grandma taught me skills like patience, compassion and problem-solving. I learned how to address issues quickly and effectively to ensure my grandma was healthy and safe. While the work was challenging, improving my grandma's quality of life made it worthwhile. I've also worked 5 years with many different forms of disabilities. I'd love to apply my skills to help make the same impact at your organization. In my time as a caregiver, I have had many proud and rewarding moments with the people I have cared for. One thing in particular that I am most proud of was when I worked with a non verbal 35 year old women with the mentality of a 2 year old I was able to teach her to say more than one word she is now able to say Hi, bye, i love you, and a few more. She was able to communicate using more than one word for the first time in her life.

In the past, working in care has brought me a deep sense of purpose and joy, and I hope to continue this service in the future. My previous client, Megan, is now a close personal friend even after I moved across the state. I have experience in domestic management and, in combination with my training in culinary arts, I am quite capable in dietary management and preparation. I personally have since recovered from severe hyperacusis and am comfortable provided care to those ailed with such a debilitating condition. I understand the difficulty in creating a safe environment for the management of pain associated with hyperacusis as well as tinnitus and auditory overstimulation. I look forward to meeting those that could benefit from my care and hope that I may be able to make an impact towards improving the quality of life in those I serve.

I think my being a empathetic person makes for a good caregiver, my partner suffers from mental illness and traumatic experiences and my being there for them really is helpful to them and rewarding to me. I was attracted to it because it's something I've always been passionate about and also adjacent to my field of experience, I'm always trying to expand my horizons in terms of skills. I would enjoy being a caregiver because I deeply care for the people I'm treating and truly want them to live happily. Recently there was a child in kindergarten who was very hesitant to take the photo, he had started to cry and he didn't want to put the graduation gown on, so I told him that it was okay, he didn't have to put it on, and we will take the picture and see how he felt, after the first pic I showed him and he really enjoyed it and wanted another with the gown on this time and I got a really good picture of him for his family.
