Being the oldest, and only girl of 4, I Inherited the role of caregiver at a very young age. I started as a babysitter and later in life gravitated towards adult care. I have remained a caregiver because I enjoy meeting people from different parts of the world and hearing their lives experiences, their knowledge, and the wisdom they often share. For me, there's no greater satisfaction than going home at the end of my workday knowing that my presence made a difference in someone else's day and that I am appreciated.

I am able to work with different types of patient. I have a 25 years of experience as a care giver. I worked at Stanford Hospital and Los Gatos community hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant. I also worked at home care settings doing personal care, hospice care, and oncology. Hi! My name is Nikki I am 25 years old, I graduate in May with my AA in health science. I plan on transferring to SJSU to get my BSN. What attracted me to be a caregiver is my passion for helping others and helping me gain more day to day knowledge on my way to my future career.

I became a caregiver because the profession I wanted to become is to be a nurse. I am a great caregiver because I am a compassionate and kind person. I give my more than 100 % excellent care with my clients and they can feel my sincerity and warmth caring for them. Their family have assurance that their loved one's are in good hands when they leave. Working in a hospital setting with different culture diversity, I have learned to know what they need and respect their culture. The patients that I have taken care of loved me for they know that once I am on duty they know that they would be happy and satisfied with their care. I learned how to handle different temperament of elderlies, some are difficult but with good communication skills and explaining to them that the care I am giving them is for their own good and to get a positive result. Being recognized and commended by my co-workers, superiors and families of my patients of how great I worked is rewarding that motivates me more to deliver excellence of what I do. I was awarded as employee of the month in our unit. I am a very caring person and can easily get along with co-workers, patients and their families. I became a caregiver because I love to work with seniors because my grandpa and my great grandma was in a place and I would always stop by and help care for them alone I did community service at a senior living place in Tracy and I was there for about a year and it was amazing to work with seniors also I love to care for others. I enjoy helping them, playing games with them making sure they eat there food in all reality I just love to help them out.
