I am a former educator from DPS. I have always loved working with the special needs community. I have worked with all age groups within the school district as a Paraprofessional/Community Liaison. I have been a CNA and went to school for medical training in Respiratory Therapy, xray technician and Heath Science. I have a vast understanding of medical terminology and procedures. I can assist with medical appointments. Most of my clients have some type of memory loss in different stages. I am a mother of one adult child and proud grandmother of a 2 ( 1 just born this year 2024) one grandson who is in college. I have done private catering and I enjoy cooking and juicing fruits and vegetables. I do private over night care and hospice separately from Carelinx. I am very patient and compassionate. I will care for your family member as if they were a member of my family. Rest assured they are in good hands. I will be honored to give exceptional care to your family member. I have been at this type of work for about 15 years .I love the work , It makes my life more meaningful. To help someone who can not do it without assistance. To make them smile to make their days better. I will treat with the most respect for I to may be here someday.

I have been a caregiver for over 30 years and enjoy working with people and being part of their lives. I ran a retirement home as an assisted-living director and ran the dining room and started the Alzheimer's unit. I have been working with home health agencies and also at facilities and enjoy doing activities with the residence and seeing people smiling and laughing because most of them do not have families that come and visit them so basically we are their family. I enjoy being a caregiver and being in their homes because then you get to be one on one with them which makes caregiving more personable and it's a blessing that most of them can stay in their homes. Being a caregiver is not a talent or something that you can be trained on it's mostly what's in your heart and knowing that the elderly need good people to take care of them and One day we are going to be in the position where we will need someone to take care of us so knowing that there are good caregivers out there it just makes it easier on the family to take care of their loved one.

I belivee to be detail oriented to bea caregiver on to acknowledge each customer, client or resident their changes each and every day. i am good with companionship and are a great listener. I have a big heart as a caregiver and the needs for those who I care for is very important to me and the family. What I enjoy as being a caregiver is activities of daily duties. I want to make sure the care for them is more important and the importance of their personal hygiene the care for their activities for light exercises and the hours for when they have eaten or not is very important before helping them with other things such as light housekeeping. I work for Colorado State CDASS program caring for Quadriplegic persons with extensive training focusing on Catheter care, Wound care, Bowel program, Physical Therapy, Hoyer Lift & Sling, Nutrition & Special diet. I also have extensive knowledge of Diabetes and Epilepsy. I hold a Certificate for Mental Health First Aid.
