I am a open minded, emphatic, and understanding individual who is reliable. I have worked in child welfare. When I left the career, I brought one of my clients home to provide him with daily living services until he graduated high school and went off to college. I was a behavioral health case manager for individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses. I assisted them 8n the areas of housing, finances, mental health, chemical dependency and social supports. During my college years, I worked as a caregiver for Home Instead. The agency allowed our Senior Clients to remain in their home while in recovery or simply struggling with various psychological and or physical disabilities. I love most to help individuals in what area they may need assistance in. A personal achievement I am most proud of is gaining a B.A. while being a single parent.

I worked as a graduate Practical Nurse in a long term care facility until I took my board exam prior to getting licensed in May 1994. I worked as a licensed practical nurse until 2006. I worked in a variety of settings. I currently attend an LPN refresher online course. I enjoy working with a diverse verse population. I enjoy all kinds of activities Music is a huge passion of mine I play 4 instruments and am actively learning another 3 History is one of my favorite subjects to listen about Listening to patients talk about their lives is the greatest joy to me I am always delighted to learn a new card game! or new hobby/skill from my clients I am also happy to offer things like exercising, bathing, and restroom use with the peace of mind of having someone capable of holding large capacities of weight. I am able to easily squat 320lbs and deadlift over 400lbs+. I've learned in my experience that can be a peace of mind that can come included if need be. My vehicle is a 2012 4Runner - It is not far off the ground and does provide comfortable seating. I am big on communication and see that a majority of people require transportation. I also am as well a person who is proud of my cooking skills and ability to make meals with a series of dietary restrictions or requests as needed.

I have 20 plus years of experience in the healthcare industry. When I was in my teens, my grandmother was diagnosed with terminal Cancer and was bound to a wheelchair. I moved in with her to care for her needs. I enjoyed being able to give her comfort. I administered her B-12 injections and her daily medicine, while cooking, cleaning and bathing her. I realized then, that I wanted to become a nurse. I did not have any backing to go to nursing school, so I attained my Registered Medical Assistant and my Registered Phlebotomist licenses. One of my personal achievements was when I took care of a patient who was a paraplegic. I taught her how to use the remote with 2 fingers. She was so ecstatic when she finally was able to do that one thing by herself. It was truly amazing!
