I took care of my father, in our home, for over 8 years before he passed away on Mother's day 2019. I managed his medication, cleaned the house, made his meals, washed his clothes, helped dress and gave him baths. I assisted him in walking and eating. I delt with insurance companies and doctors offices. I took him to and from the doctor. Changed bandages and just sat and talked to him. I now take care of my mother, in almost the same way. I love to help people and make them feel better in any way that I can. Taking the stress off the person and their families is a way, I feel like, I can make that happen. I have learned a lot (hands-on) and a personal achievement I'm proud of, is learning how to pull community resources to assist the families I help.

As a mother of three US Marine sons, I too believe in honor, courage, and commitment. I strived to be the best role model for my grown children, all five of them, and am honored by their great contributions to our great country. My passions in life include being physically fit, active, reading, furniture restorations, and as much good old fashioned humor and laughter available! With my experience as a CNA and previous twelve years as an EMT for the Atlanta area, I am very capable and prepared for any job. I consider myself highly dependable, articulate, innovative, and knowledgeable in most aspects of care.

I've been an LPN in Ga. Since 2004, I specialize in senior care,I'm CPR/ first aid certified as well, flexible, friendly and available to work lots of hours. I have worked in the private duty/home setting for several different couples, and on and off since around 2008. I am highly skilled and have excellent references, upon request. I love working with senior clients. I do everything from meal prep, bathing , grooming to medication reminders. Also taking clients to/from Dr's appointments or physical therapy. No task is too small or too great. I'm confident and I know I'm a great nurse/ caregiver, been doing this professionally for over 20 years. I have successfully completed the requirements of National Council of Certified Dimentia Practitioners. I'm a Certified Dimentia Practitioner. ( CDP ) My heart is in what I do and I love what I do. It's not about a paycheck. As people age with time and things begin to change in their life they may not understand the changes. They need someone who is going to take the time to listen, be patient, understanding and knowledgeable while caring for them. Without losing who they are or their their sense of independence. My passion is with Dementia and Alzhemers Elders. Becoming apart of their world and learning from them. That's the BEST experience you will ever get. Straight from the Residents. They may not remember your name but they will always remember how someone treated them.

I make sure to put my patients needs first. Being a caregiver is all I've ever seen myself doing, I took the first step by obtaining my CNA license along with CPR, first aid, and HIPPA certifications. I look forward into going deeper into the nursing field. It makes me feel good as a person to help people who can't help theirself, I feel like that's the right thing to do. I mean, wouldn't you want that for yourself? I know I would!

My father has been blind for 6 years now and I was his primary care giver so with that experience I want to help other who really cannot help them to feel that there are others who still care for them. What I enjoy most about care giving is that it allows me to make someone happy
