Hello...My name is Donnie I'm 44 years old and have been in Nursing 26 years. I started in Nursing when I was 18 years old and have worked in several roles. The begining part of my career I worked in housekeeping at Life care of Andover and then moved up. I started as a CNA and loved the interactions with all my patients. I soon became a restorative aide and I assisted with range of motion and therapy guided exercises. During thia time I also passed meds for over 64 people guided by staff nurse. After leaving Andover I found myself working in the hospice field over the last 17 years. Hospice care of Kansas 2005-20011- Harry Hynes 2011-2018 Serenity Hospice 2018 to present. I've Los worked with several families providing private duty for geriatric age parents and coordinated cares with family. I grew up in Andover kansas with amazing elderly neighbors who I spent a lot of time getting to know each one of them. I really enjoy the interactions with the elderly and getting to know who they are

I am a very positive person, I love helping others and taking care of anyone and everyone. I am a mother of 6 beautiful children and I have 2 boys that have passed away. So taking care of others to my full potential and even beyond warms my heart. I don't believe I decided to become a caregiver, I believe I was born to help others... it was a gift given to me. What I Love most about being a caregiver is the bond and trust you develop with each other. One of my personal achievements I am highly proud of is being a wonderful mother and wife and still be able to continue my education and be a positive role model in their lives... never giving up, no matter how hard life gets.

I am a very compassionate and caring person. I enjoy listening and interacting with people. Hearing stories of people's history really is one of my favorite part of being a caregiver. I started helping to care for my two adult nieces in 2015. They were fully disabled. It was very rewarding and their laughter and loving personalities made my days complete. From there I incorporated caring for disabled seniors and found their companionship enriched my life every day as I cared for them. Prior to being a Home Health Aide, I worked for eye surgeons for twenty years. It was a very fast paced practice and I enjoyed the challenge. However, my favorite part of the job was interacting with patients and with electronic charts and other changes, the personal contact with patients was rushed and I felt they needed more compassion and reassurance in most situations. I am so happy I've made this change of careers in my life. I feel like I'm just going to visit a friend every day and enjoy the history and wisdom they share with me.

It's important to be professional in any job, but the main reason I love home health care is that this position revolves around compassion. From the moment I walk into your home my focus is not only fulfilling your needs, but to also make your quality of life better. I take the time to listen to and understand your needs and complete tasks the way you would like them done. I pride myself in helping you set and accomplish goals and educating myself on any health conditions or concerns you may have.

I have chosen to be a Can or private caregiver because I helped my great grandmother when she needed all the help in the world. I devoted my life/time just to my grandmother. I have a big caring and giving heart. my passion in life is to help those in need. I dedicated every second after my great grandmother passed to going to school to become a Certified nurse aide, because I seen how the aides were and acted to my grandma and I knew how much she loved them just like her own family. I am Djada Collier I am 19 years old and currently going to school to become a paramedic. I have lived in Wichita, ks my whole life and do not plan on leaving any time soon. I have 8 siblings, me being the youngest and the only girl. I would love to connect with a family that is willing to accept me into their own family and let me take care of their loved ones.

I chose to become a caregiver because it is one of the most rewarding jobs a person can do. I have a passion for putting others first. When I see someone with an intellectual or physical disability able to lead a happy, safe and fulfilling life it makes all the challenges along the way worthwhile. I am willing to make small changes to my everyday life to make major beneficial changes to someone with a disability. I love being a caregiver because of the joyous and grateful feelings I get when I see a patient positvely respond to the enviornment and care that I have provided. I am very proud of my work ethic. I get things done fast but to the best of my capabilites. I am reliable, loyal and I enjoy coming up with better solutions to problems. A fact about myself is that in the next ten years I see myself as a Physicians Assistant.

I became a caregiver to help those who cannot help themselves or if they just need a few help with things. I enjoy helping others because it takes a strong person to take this career path and it also puts a smile on the person's face. I am a loving, caring, and compassionate person about the care I give to others. It makes me realize that I have purpose with helping others.
