I had to retire in 2004 because I became very ill with lymphedema and a very painful bladder disease called interstitial cystitis. Being severely ill has made me even more caring and compassionate for anyone suffering from any illness. I like to incorporate family into my patient care as much or as little as the family member is comfortable. I started CNA work at 18 and I knew the medical field and taking care of my residents and or patients is something I always want to do. Seeing the smiles on their faces when they realize they have a good CNA taking care of them is what I do the job for.
