I became a caregiver at the age of 17 helping my great grandmother. I transitioned into the health care field at the age of 18; I've worked in numerous health care facilities and hospice facilities. I enjoy connecting and meeting new souls. My clients often turn into family or friends. This is what makes my job amazing to me. I love and get along with people from all walks of life. My goal is to make each and everyone feel safe, loved and taken care of. I hope to meet you soon.

I have 20 plus years experience as a Nurse Assistant and Certified as a Medical Assistant. I have worked Acute Care, Memory Care, Radiation Oncology, Private Home Care, Nursing Rehabilitation, Geriatric and I Specialize in Hospice Home Care. . I am looking for someone to be that perfect companion to. I am dog friendly and non smoking. I have excellent local references upon request.

My passion is working with the elderly. I am honored by the families that put their trust in me to care for their loved one who may be on the final path of their life requiring Home Hospice care. or is at that point in their lives where assistance is needed in order to continue staying in their home, being as independent as possable, staying safe. My commitment for each and every person is to provide them with companionship, assistance with physical needs and whatever else they need, whether it's writing a letter for them, or baking their favorite cookies, straightening out closet shelves or holding their hand, reading a book to them or just sitting quietly with them. I believe it is ao important to pocess tthe traits that are important in caregiving which are flexibility, willingness to sit still when you notice its what the person you are caring for needs. Paying attention is very important. A caregiver cannot just "be there" I keep logs in order to ensure the Doctor and nurses and family are notified of ANY changes such as skin color, urine intake/out take, bathroom habits, signs of weakness, facial changes, depression/mood changes. If bedridden, log needs to include turning times, any skin breakdown issues, A good caregiver needs to go outside the box, be willing to do what otherwise might be uncomfortable, be drama free. Assisting the family is one of the things that helps them know who I am and relieves some of the stress from their lives. By helping doing even the smallest of details, yardwork, cleaning a garage etc. I promise you that I will make the same commitment to respect, never diminish their dignity and do all I can to provide the stability, comfort your loved one deservesI I did not become a Caregiver to change the dynamics of lives. but to be there to make them feel safe, healty and secure. Compassion goes a long long way.

What makes me a great caregiver cuz I'm a people person and I have compassion and I care about how the how they feel. Well I love most about being a caregiver is that I can help and show that I care and that I'm a living person and I give joy and laughter and comfort out of helping others. My mom was a CNA for 40 years before she passed away and I've been volunteering since I was 12 years old so that's what motivates me to be a caregiver. I'm proud of being a mother I'm proud of being a grandmother I'm proud of just being a person as in the community I'm proud of myself of learning going back to school getting my caregiver certificates and getting all my certificates that I have in ADLs patient care helper I'm just proud of me being a person who I am I'm proud like I said being a mother and a grandmother of course and a wife and I'm proud that I took care of my mom my dad and my grandfather before they passed away.

I have years of experience that lends well to working with seniors. I've used a wheelchair, walker, crutches, so I know what it's like. A friend who is a nurse asked me to help her with her step-father. I found my true calling. She became my mentor. I have a true passion to help others.

I have been doing care given for over 10yrs.work with cancer care, Alzheimer's, Dementia care. Responsible, Hard working, always on time love working with people have lots of TLC to give.

I am a very open ,honest and fun person. I can easily adapt and improvise to almost any situation. I have worked in the medical field most of my life. Mostly in doctors offices and hospital settings. It has always been a passion of mine. I have 3 children who have different disabilities so I am capable of taking care of different degrees of medical situations. After raising my children I decided to get into home care. I enjoy working and helping people but also able to spend time with my family .

I love caregiving, and helping others especially when they need it. All my care is unconditional, I'm compassionate, caring, and patient. I'm a great listener, I love reminiscing. My main focus on the job is to be sure that they're comfortable and happy, and my job isn't done until we've achieved that! I keep it light and positive during hard times, and I love to provide comfort care.

I became a caregiver because of a unique opprotunity to take the nursing assistant course for free with the chance to be hired on by the company afterwards. I've always liked interacting with people and been good at sales but sales wasn't what I liked doing. The idea of selling something I don't want never appiesed me, however I found that my sales experience came in handy being a cna because then I could get the residents to agree to the care they needed. That felt rewarding for me because something positive came from it rather then another piece of product in someones home. I'm very proud of the fact that I was able to step into this field with no prior experience and do well. Well enough even to turn the facilities second state inspection around to a passing grade. I enjoy working as much as I do being at home with my family and am always willing to put in extra time when asked.

I became a caregiver having worked with various patients in Uganda and saw that I would be able to make a difference in some one's life and contribute to their daily living needs in a positive way. I was able to counsel and positively enhance people's lives especially those with HIV. Some of them had lost hope but with the counselling sessions, the discordant couples regained trust in each other and their home interface improved. I 45 years and a Ugandan citizen who migrated to the US in March 2014. I worked for the Medical Research Council in Uganda for 14 years. We worked with HIV/AIDS patients and we carried out various tasks to include; taking surveys, vitals, counselling, home visits & care as well as reviewing the patients condition every 6 months. During my stay with MRC, I learned a lot about HIV/AIDS and its challenges. It was an honor that people entrusted me with their health problems and allowed me to be part of their lives as they faced the HIV/AIDS journey at times with adverse results say, death.
