I love doing a caregiver because is my career is taking care of elderly people

Actually, I am a Registered Nurse. Characteristics: dependable, honest, independent, optimistic, hard-working, encouraging, a problem solver, a good listener and communicator. I became interested in health care when I was 10 years old and in the hospital over Christmas having had an emergency appendectomy. My mom worked for a doctor (earning $1 an hour) and was always telling us about interesting cases and teaching us strange sounding medical terminology. Most of my nursing career was in a Medical Intensive Care Unit at Ohio State University Medical Center. After that exciting career, I started working in Home Health in 2008. I enjoy working 1 on 1 with my clients, offering encouragement, seeing that they are receiving proper care, and hearing their life stories.

I have been state tested since graduating high school. I am a mother of 4 and a wife of 13 yrs. I love working with patients and their family. I am very well at leaving my personal life at the door and being able to enjoy my day at work. Caring for people is all I know how to do. I just have to be able to be a parent as well with schools being done at home so can't do the long shifts of working in a nursing home. I take as many extra learning as can to help enhance my certification . I'm very easy to get along with and as flexible as needed. I have worked in home health, hospitals, as well as Nursing homes. My patients happiness means a lot to me or how the family thinks of me so always try to do my best. I have always liked helping people which is why I chose this field right out of high school. I have always kept my certification in good standing I've had my certification since 2001 and still on state registry with no complaints ever on my care. Hopefully I will get a chance to work with your family and treat your loved one as one of my own.

I'm a compassionate caring and empathetic caregiver, choosing a career as a caregiver was the obvious choice for me because of the love I have for people in general especially those who are undergoing stressful times because of physical or emotional problems, seeing my clients happy because of the exceptional care I provide for them makes me happy as well

What Makes me a good caregiver is my ability to show empathy ,I enjoy my job and this is what I want to do. I've been an STNA for 11 years. I decided to become an STNA because I have a soft spot for people but elders the most. I Never grew up with my own Grandparents so My resident's I work with becomes extended family. Too many people are in this field for the wrong reasons and I want to be the reason why a lot of elders smile again or comfortable again. It'll show in my work

What makes me a great caregiver is that I'm sympathetic..compassionate..always on time if not early..always give 110 percent in the care I provide...I have been an stna for 17 years

I would describe myself as respectful, caring observant, reliable and patient person who strives in providing good quality care. Patient care and acts of kindness attracted me to being a caregiver, advocating and understanding the importance of health. My personal achievement consists of providing positive energy in any space which helps me succeed in healthcare.

I absolutely love being a home healthaid/caretaker. Its definitely a job made for people like me! Im a mother and im also the oldest of 4! I love helping others and allowing them to stay at home instead of having to move to a special home. People love to be independent and i try to help them do that as much as possible! I also do things like workout with patients and read to them. Im very caring and loving.

Am physically, mentally and psychologically stable. Can work under pressure individually and collectively. I love putting smiles on people's faces whom I care for, it give me the joy to know I make someone happy.

I enjoy being a caregiver because I enjoy helping people and keeping a patient at home is very important to me. I feel that I am a very caring and compassionate person and will treat your family member as if they were part of my family.
