I have been a cna for almost 8 years and I absolutely LOVE what I do. I became a cna after taking care of my grandfather when my grandmother couldn't care for him no longer. He made me realize what Im meant to do. My goal is to be a Nurse one day. I have worked in all aspects of healthcare. From my 1st job being in an all male medium security prison as a cna to working hospice,private duty, nursing homes, and home care. Im very good at what I do and have never had a complaint. Im very respectful and go above and beyond for my clients. My clients become family to me. I get joy in making someone elses day a little brighter and better.

What makes me a great PCA/CNA, is more or less my love for carring for the client. I'm calm compassionate kind, as well as patient. I will take the time to reassure the client, as well as their loved ones are treated with the up most respect. This is not just my job, it's my calling in life I have always loved helping others. I started carring for others at a young age, it all started w a woman who lost both breast due to cancer, she was an older lady so gentle so kind hearted, buy not even losing her breasts could keep her from being the woman she always was. And from there I just knew. From 2003-2011 I cared for my very own grandma... She was an inspiration to me. She wasn't in the best of health and asked if I could be there for her, and I accepted. I wouldn't have it any other way. This woman needed me and I was going to be there for her, like she were for me all those years ago, she was still there for me even though she felt as if she wasn't. She perished years later, and to this day she is still w me, she lives in me. When I provide care, I like to care for them as if they were my own family. I have also experience working in nursing homes as a CNA, I simply prefer working w less clients.

I became a caregiver when I was 16 years old because I took care of my grandmother and enjoyed the quality time I spent with her and wanted to continue that path of caring for other peoples family members the way I would want my family cared for. I like developing relationships with my clients and their families, when you work so closely with someone you get to know their likes and dislikes and it makes the quality of life more enjoyable. I am proud of graduating the practical nursing program at tcrvths in 2011. I am a proud single mother of an awesome 10 year old boy he is my pride and joy????
