My mom was a CNA for over 20 years and she always said I should be a caregiver but fatei feel, brought me to doing this rewarding job. I am a caring and loving person. As a caregiver, I love helping elders with their non-medical needs. When an individual is challenged in any capacity, demonstrating you care in getting to know them as a person, their strengths and limitations with personable kindness, compassion, and patience, can make all the difference to the individual and the family members who depend on you as an extension of themselves. Sometimes a simple smile can make a person feel more relaxed and willing to work with you as a caregiver to aid them with their inability of managing their own lives on their own. I love to be there for my elders and making sure they are takin care of all the time and paid attention to. Theyve been here before us. What has my attention the most about care giving is the thought of my grand mother's presence there with me before sure passed I was like her care giver. I knew her everyday schedule took her baths fed her cleaned up did laundry. And etc
